Going into Mini camp next week, what dark horse player

superspynyg : 6/7/2018 12:56 pm
Are you rooting for the most to not only make the roster but show improvement from last year?

Mine is is Amba Etta-Tawo. I loved him coming out of Syracuse. When he was waived by Jax and signed to our PS last Dec I was happy. I am hoping he proves to be a solid backup wr this year and maybe earn a starting g spot by the end of the season.

Jon Halapio

I thought he showed some good things when he was given a chance last year at RG. He has what Jones does not and that is size and arm length.
someone at Center

Either Halapio or Cooper.

Not a fan of Jones play. Can't explain it, just not a fan.

You won't see anything definitive out of the linemen or lbs until there is hard contact.
I'm going to go with Roger Lewis

I know everyone wants to give the WR #3 position to Latimore, but he really hasn't done anything so far in his career. Don't be surprised if a guy like Lewis improves a lot and beats him out.
Forget dark horse, I'm hoping that Goodson,

Vernon, Hill and the rest of the defense can perform in their roles.

Followed by...
Ereck Flowers
BJ Goodson
Darian Thompson
Brett Jones
And how about one real dark horse...
UDRFA WR Jawill Davis #80
I'm going

to throw Ereck Flowers down as my rooting interest. Very few guys are able to step in and play LT their first year. Tyrone Smith didn't. I thought it was a bad idea then and really hurt huis career. I'm hoping he embraces the switch to RT and becomes a solid, reliable player, pushing guys around for Barkley.

Would be great if they shine
I want to see another level from Evan Engram

If he becomes a true pro bowl TE that would mean a lot for where we're at as an offense, even before Saquon.
Is there anyone who we shouldn’t expect to do better in 2018 than 2017
Ivan15 : 6/7/2018 3:41 pm : link
I don’t think there is anyone who we shouldn’t expect to be better than 2017. Maybe Harrison.

Even for some of the vets, I think at least they should perform at 2016 levels.

I gotta go with Flowers, if a #1 pick can qualify as a dark horse. If the light bulb can go on for him in his 4th season, and first on the right side, it would have the greatest impact on these rosy projections for our weapons.

Will have a huge target on his back; he'll be tested and re-tested, to see if he breaks.

If you were the opposition, who would you pick on - the WEAKEST link.
We absolutely need some "NO NAMES" to make it and flourish.

CB, WR, DL, S, OL, we have depth issues so solid youth stepping up.
