Very nice guy. I was at a IT Security event with one of our product vendors. He was a guest speaker at the end of the event and told some cools stories about how he was a walk on at Rutgers and how he ended up with a scholarship there. He told us when he went undrafted he had a choice to sign as a UDFA between the Giants and the Browns. His agent talked him into choosing the Browns because he had a better chance at starting there. Then when he was a free agent he was here visiting family and his agent called and told him the Giants were interested so he visited and ended up signing that day. Really cool stories.
At the end of his talk we got to ask questions. I asked him what he thought of the Giants new o-line. He said he really like the Solder signing as well as the Patrick Omameh signing. He was really gushing over Hernandez. Said he was watching his film and loved his nasty demeanor. He said he could see a big smile on his face
through his face mask after every hit he gave. Thinks he's going to be a monster for us. Just my cool story bro moment of the day.
BTW: You look pretty solid. Do you work out?

Yup, though I've been slacking a bit lately.
Thanks Eric, it was really cool, he's a very friendly approachable guy.
Happy to hear that he's the same guy in ordinary life; it's disappointing that some are not, away from the spot-light.
I think OHara is 6'3, so antdog is about 5'3" I would guess.
there's one for us vertically challenged guys, 'dog.

And being short gives you a good angle at punching tall people in the nuts that make fun of your height.

It never really bothered me. If someone got voilent it didn't matter how tall they were I would beat the shit out of them. I was always underestimated....
O'Hara was there for SB42 but it was Bass in SB46.
That was Mike Mayock's assessment after the Giants took Hernandez on draft day.
Still makes me laugh when I think about it.
Makes me laugh AND makes me remember how satisfied and happy I am with the pick! Lets face it we needed OL help and he was/is a good one on paper going into the draft.

We have an Asian saying like that, but we use *with* instead of *in*.
Nice to hear O Hara mention the intensity as a positive
:)
Interesting though, the helmets look miniature on the table.
I remember back in '99 when Kent Graham was the Giants starter for half a season or so. I went to one of our vendor events for Xerox and Kent Graham was a similar guest speaker.
I asked him about the QB room back when he was a rookie in 1992. He said it was great to learn from both Phil Simms and Jeff Hostetler and learn the ropes from them.
I than followed up with, how about Dave Brown? He smiled and said it was nice to outplay a first round pick every day in practice.
It's all good, I've been short for 40 years. I get it lol

It was hosted by Presidio, was a Cyber Security forum with Cisco, Vernois, F5 and Logrhythm
lol nah, they were some generic helmet with a Presidio sticker on the side. Pretty terrible.... I should have brought a football with me.
What's hilarious is one of my best friends growing up was 6'4" and we hung out all the time. I now know how stupid that shit must have looked to everyone else. lol
