The 4 horse seems interesting. I did ok in the Preakness... so I was thinking $1 trifecta 4-8 with 1-4-7-8-9-10 with all ($80), 4-8 to win, place, show.. maybe $10 on each...
I don't know if I should really trust Justify to finish 1st in my wagers here. If I add in the 1 on my trifecta, that's another what, $40 bucks or so.
And the 1 isn't a great bet at coming in even.
Justify drew the rail but I'm not sure it's the best at the extra distance.
The field isnt great. Audible not running is ginormous for Justify (I probably would have made Audible the favorite).
Hofburg has a lot to prove. Bravazo is running his 3rd race and couldnt beat justify at his worst. Tenfold is going to be in the mix.
but I would bet Vino Russo. New York horse. Has enough speed to get close and should get a better trip and is well rested.
I will have Tenfold winning at least one of them, Justify winning at least one, and I'll have both of them in the top 3 somewhere on all of them. I may have to put Gronkowski in there somewhere, because, even though he's a Patriot, Gronk is awesome.
Vino Rosso, Blended Citizen, and Noble Indy, are other horses I'm thinking about. Should be fun.
The one thing about Justify is he has the rail. How is he going to run on the rail? I think he's going to have to try to jump out in front to get some room and then that may be bad for him by the end of the race. I'm very concerned Justify isn't going to do it, and I may have him as low as third in a trifecta or two. He's such a great horse, I don't think he will do worse than that, right?
Still amazes me that (not counting this year) 35 horses have won the first two legs, but only 12 have ever won all 3.
Excited to watch tomorrow.
He's coming in fresh and Mott doesn't force things. So I expect him to get his second ever Triple Crown win.
Justify's lack of 2 year old foundation finally catches up to him. I think he's had way too many races in 120 days - 6. Will struggle to hit the board...
