was scrapped save for the original. This being a direct sequel 40 years later is pretty cool. I’ve also heard good things about McBrides directing and passion for horror. I can’t stand him as an actor but I’m hoping he makes a career change like Affleck did.

I think McBride helped with the screenplay but didn't direct.
Halloween fan for 30 years and I am not happy about them ignoring part 2. I felt the same in 98 when h20 was made about them ignoring 4 5 and 6. They should of made one that takes places after part 6 because he did not not die. it seems Micheal sails off into the sunset after 6

I knew about the writing but I could have sworn he was partly directing too. In any case, hopefully it’s good.
John Carpenter is executive producer and scoring the film.... Â
Seems like a stale idea, but I really liked the first 3.

Halloween 3 is a good movie. A lot of people shit on it because Micheal Myers is not in it but it is still a good movie.
Halloween 3 may be a good movie in a vacuum but as part of the series it's an abomination. Maybe if this movie does well they'll create a new one that accounts for the rage that MM has toward his family or go deeper into the guy that freed him from the local jail at the end of 5.
It was filmed around here in Charleston (thanks to Danny McBride). We watched them shoot some exterior scenes in town last month......unbelievable, the truckload of gear it takes just to film the outside of a building !!
In the Trailer, that looks like the Citadel Courtyard with the red & white tiles.

When I was in my 30's and 40's I was pretty big from working out. On Halloween, I'd put on a hockey mask (Jason) and a padded flannel jacket.
When the kids knocked on my door, I open it very suddenly and just stare silently at them. The look on their faces was priceless. Some kids actually ran away!
I love the whole series, even the crappy ones (Busta Rhymes) Â

David Gordon Green, who directed Pinnaple Express, is at the helm. McBride is sharing the screenwriting duties.
Love that this is in the hands of McBride and Green! Trying to bring a little camp and humor back to the horror genre is a great idea.
Loved Cabin in the Woods for that reason. And speaking of which, go look at Golden’s new movie which looks fantastic. Bad Times at the El Royale - ( New Window )

I can't wait.

You could be right, I was just going by IMBD.

The entire story was over after the 2nd one.
