Just curious. Obviously this organization is going through a lot with the recent diagnosis of DG, but it's been five days since we opened up a roster spot. Is there a reason why we're taking so long? Maybe it's nothing unusual, but I can't recall an instance off-hand where we didn't sign or claim someone within a couple of days of opening up a roster spot.
Anyway, just curious. I'm hoping for Tre Boston!
And this thread popped into my mind because I had a very lucid dream a few days ago that we signed Greg Robinson...and I was excited at first, but then I remembered he's been in the NFL for a few years now and he's been absolutely terrible. I know, cool story, bro.

Free agent RB Orleans Darkwa had minor surgery this morning to remove the plate in his leg he had inserted last offseason, Im told. X-rays confirmed the fractured healed in full & his doc recommended removing the plate that limited his explosiveness. Should be good in 4 weeks.

Occasionally you get a UDFA that shines (WR V. Crus, OG Norwell) and performs well above expectations but for the most part, you try and put together a practice squad where guys can step up and in should the need arises due to injury.
