Was this the most “likable” Eagles team?

For some reason I've never really been too into the bragging rights or schadenfreude aspects of being a sports fan, unless I'm surrounded by obnoxious, arrogant fans of that particular team. I actually think they've handled this whole bullshit of the last week pretty well.

and their fans. What made this year less horrifying was the Giants season was over before Columbus Day and I seriously stopped caring about the NFL in general and just tortured myself watching the Giants season to see where they would draft.

If the Giants were competitive this year, I would be a hell of a lot more pissed about the Eagles winning it all.

possibly my most hated team, but they do have some guys that are likable. I like Wentz and Foles actually.

In the past I would have not gotten over an Eagles winning the superbowl. I have two Eagles friends that are surprisingly not asses and I was able to be happy for them the same way there were nfl east fans that were happy for the giants when they won against the Patriots.

I do live in Massachusetts so a Patriots loss was not the worst thing.

I will say if I had to put it in an order of being ok with another NFC EAST team winning it would be Eagles, Redskins, Cowboys. With redskins and Dallas virtually tied because I cannot stand Jones and Synder. I actually like Laurie and the way the eagles are run. In the past I would have said I hated all three equally. I may not like the Eagles but I respected what they did as a team.

The way I have rationalized any team winning that I don't want to is by thinking there is probably some sick person in a hospital watching who had their life made better by their team winning.

The whole Donald Trump thing makes me like them as NFL Players and human beings, but I still can't stand the Eagles and hope they do terribly. They're the EAGLES and thanks to the Large Hadron Collider we're in this messed up Berenstain Bears timeline where Donald Trump is president, Geno Smith started a game for the Giants, and the Eagles have a Lombardi Trophy.

the Eagles, but glad it was this team and not the ones with McNabb, Cunningham, or Jaworski to get the Lombardi. All of those teams seemed dirty or unethical. That being said, Jim Schwartz having a SB ring kind of makes me nauseous.

This is one of those tallest dwarf questions

think its the players as much as the fact that we aren't competing with them at all. If we barely missed out on the playoffs, I think that hatred would be just as intense as ever.

I was rooting against them like crazy, but the disappointment I felt when they won was nothing to what I would've felt had they won in 2010.

The McNabb and Buddy teams were especially irritating, but what makes this team unlikable has always been the fans and winning the Super Bowl has made them more obnoxious. I still hear about it every couple of days and many believe it's a top 3 SB. I understand what you mean, but I don't share your sentiment due to the fans

I cannot stand how Lane Johnson sermonizes about the culture of other teams when he is a busted two time cheat. In fact, Alshon Jeffrey is another guy with a PED past. When you are 13-3 and everything goes right, you really don't have much to create tension. It is when you hit a rough patch and you start losing and people are looking for people to blame is when you judge the character of the team. Like, for instance, the year before when all of Philadelphia swore off Ertz because they thought he wimped out of a block against the Bengals. I am sure like any team they have some good guys and some bad guys, but what makes them unlikable is that they wear that uniform and those fans cheer for them. End of story
