This has to be viewed as a positive. Best record in baseball and they’re still not playing up to their capabilities. Have to figure Gary won’t hit like this all season and a hot streak will eventually come for Stanton

He won't step in when the team is absolute shit, but will step in when they want to get rid of people he likes. More likely, they don’t have anyone on the 40 many roster to replace Reyes. 40 man is jammed with all 5he relievers Sandy obtained at the deadline last year.

doesn't look like it's going to play in the post-season, I like Reyes retiring as a Met. He certainly isn't now, but he may have been our best shortstop ever.
They can have a Jose Reyes Appreciation Day and parade him around the ballpark next year. He is hurting the team, and in every sport I ever played, it was always supposed to be about what is best for the team.
