As an avid reader of Tom Clancy, I was very interested in an email I received this morning from Goodreads.
On August 31, Amazon Prime will start streaming
"Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan". The series will consist of 8 one hour episodes of original stories based on Clancy's well known character.
John Krasinski will play Ryan. I had to do a double take with that one. I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt, but will it work? Can it work?
Im glad they chose the excellent Chris Evans. But Jim will be fine
Not relevant but I hated Jim (and Pam). I always wanted to punch their smarmy faces.
We're binge watching The Office right now because my kids really like it... this scene always cracks me up...
Michael burns his foot on the Foreman grill... - ( New Window )
And the movies have mostly been mediocre. Sum of all fears was a shell of an epicly shocking plot.

Eh, after "Hunt for Red October", pretty hard to live up to expectations. (I did like Patriot Games)
I thought "Red Storm Rising" would have been good for a movie.

Yes, it matters. I wish there were more shows like this nowadays.
