Guys who will definitely be gone: (and I'll taker a shot at some comparisons; note: any player can BUST due to $$/fame, situation or injury so below are upside comparisons)
Ayton - Comparison: Andre Drummond
Doncic - Comparison: Paul Pierce
Bagley - Comp: Amare Staudimire
JJJ: Comp: Serge Ibaka
Bamba: Comp: Rudy Goebert
Guys who will probably be gone:
Young: Comp: a poor man's Steve Nash (but I am pessimistic)
Porter: Comp: Rudy Gay
Carter Jr.: not lefty and a tad less athletic, but Chris Bosh (smart, skilled, lengthy big man)
Guys to choose from at 9:
Mikal Bridges: Comp: a better shooting Trevor Ariza
Miles Bridges: Jaylen Brown (physically mature, smart, top tier athlete, solid skill level although Brown is lengthier)
Collin Sexton: many say Eric Bledsoe, I see a shorter/6'2" version of John Wall. Still, I do not think Sexton or Young will be the pick.
Lonnie Walker: very intriguing player, reminds me in body type, athleticicsm and personality of Bradley Beal, the shot is good but not near Beal's caliber at this point
Kevin Knox: I don't like him at all. Seems sluggish in his effort. Not dynamic athletically.
Zhaire Smith: Shorter than I hoped but long armed and this years Donovan Mitchell in terms of off the charts athleticism. I am not saying he will blow up the league like DM did, but his floor is Avery Bradley (not bad at all).
% likelihood:
Porter 2%
Carter 3%
Walker/Smith 10% each
Miles Bridges: 25%
Mikal Bridges: 50%

Is it that or does he have a promise?
Magic need a PG. Could they be interested in Frankie N and the ninth overall pick? I can see them going with Trae Young.

Was just told off the record "he 100% has a top 4 promise and it's Memphis. If he gets past 2 he's going 4"

Surprising. I would think that JJJ or Bamba would be ideal fits next to Gasol

You'd trade a previous year lottery pick to move up 3 spots? I don't see many consensus "star" draft picks in this class, it for sure seems like a year where there are guys going in the 10-20 range that will be better than some of the guys picked in the 5-9 range. That would be a downright awful trade IMO.

So that means one of the Big-5 (Ayton, Bamba, JJJ, Bagley III and Doncic) drops out of the Top-5.

I mean if it meant Bamba or JJJ at 6, you consider it, no?
I worry about Knox compared to the other wings. He is probably the worst defender of the bunch, is most suited for a 4 but a subpar rebounder, and I can't really see any great skills outside his shooting (which he is good at). He's not a freak athlete and his handle is basic. I just can't see it with him.
Lee/ Thomas for Parsons/ 4th? One can dream.
saves them 11 million after next year...
plus saves them off the 4th round pick..

they aren't going to trade the 4th pick for 3 useless players lol.

and the knicks are taking on one of the worst contracts in the nba and saving them 11 million. .
and lee is useless?

i am taking doncic and not thinking twice...
henis a point forward, think simmons with a jumper but not crazy athletic...
you have 2 years and then have two max slots to put next to frank, doncic kp and next year and year after 1st....
and i only do it for doncic
i dont either
What do you think the incentive is to leak that? Not being critical, genuinely curious.

But I just cant wrap my head around Memphis trading #4 to get rid of it. I dont think Memphis is fooling themselves into landing Lebron or PG. it honestly just sounds like an intentionally leaked rumor.

There's so many "insider" leaks they all end up just contradicting each other and people can't tell whats right or wrong. But maybe it gets teams talking, I can't imagine parting with 4 to dump Parsons but maybe some team will swap picks and give other players. How many of these rumors end up being true?

Really warming up to Carter. I'd say something like 20-30% of player success is mental, if not more. That shit is impossible for teams to fully gauge, they record interviews and do all sorts of sentiment analysis and can't drill it down, let alone fans. But all the off court and mental stuff for Carter I love. Smart and humble kid. A lot of his college game reminds me of Demarcus Cousins. Not as big but a better shooter and passer than DMC was at this stage. And the mental aspect seems to be completely opposite. I think their can be some hidden athleticism, I'm willing to be he sheds much of the baby fat year 1.
He can shoot a bit, but he's a below-average NBA athlete. Who was the last Duke big man to be worth a shit in the NBA - Elton Brand?

There are more than a few teams who can offer a better package to San Antonio for Kawhi than the Knicks can (assuming they dont include Porzingis), but people close to Leonard have expressed a desire for Leonard to play in New York, per sources.

@wojespn
San Antonios Kawhi Leonard has Los Angeles preferably the Lakers at the center of his preferences for a trade destination, league sources tell ESPN.
And Porzingis is like the ultimate Spurs player. I'm sure Pops lusts after him
Value wise, sure. But then how does trading KP for Kawhi make sense for the Knicks? Or Kawhi? It will take more than KP too. So they will trade KP and other assets and land Kawhi, who will have absolutely nothing around him. The entire idea of landing Kawhi would be to add him to KP, otherwise, the team is still in no mans land, with even less assets to work with than they have now.
I think the idea would be to flip KP for Kawhi and then be a more attractive destination for free agents like Kyrie or Klay. Of course, he'd better be healthy or you're looking at Amare 2.0...
I wouldn't do that. Kawhi is great but I'm not paying retail for this guy coming off of a 9 game season.
The injury might make Ingram just as attractive as KP before including all the other young players the Lakers have.

then even KP needs to be on the table.

So you're more comfortable with KP's injury than Kawhi? Idk, personally I think Kawhi's motive all along was to get out of SA (idk why) and he overplayed this injury to get himself out. He played fine in those 9 games and then just mysteriously was hurt again.

It might be worth it, depending on who is there at 4

Either of the trades he suggested I would do in be heartbeat. No future first round pick unless its top 10 protected for like 5 years then reverts to a 2nd round pick.
