would it be such a tragedy to try Gleyber or Andujar there for a few games and see how it works out?

Not someone to nit pick at what is clearly a good season for Boone (or Cashman lol) but seems like something worth a try.

Close, but overhead camera showed it caught corner and he was calling the high strike all night. Most nights that is a ball.

Its ok, he squeezed Betances in the 8th.

Shutting out Washington with CC starting is pretty damn good.

It's a sign of a really good team. Someone always seems to step up big and tonight it was Didi's bat while the D and pitching did the rest.

Their lineup is so long they don't need to rely on just one or two guys every time. How many big hits have Andujar,Romine and Torres had already this year? Just a really good, potentially great, fun team to watch.
Boone is fantastic with the media.

He's good like that no doubt but I have a hard time listening to him saying ummm so damn much. Dude needs to take a second, think about what he wants to say and just fucking say it.

I never thought a guy coming out of a TV booth would struggle like that in live pressers. Hopefully he gets better at it the longer he does it but he hasn't so far.

Seriously? Will you listen to yourself?

Some fucking people will just bitch about ANYTHING. Yeah, let’s hope Boone gets better at interviewing of all things. For fucks sake man. This team is having a great season and all I see in game threads is “this guy sucks, whys he playing?” Or “this guy sucks, he needs to be moved down in the order”. Or “this guy sucks, he needs to go to the minors to figure it out”. Or “our pitching sucks, we need to make a trade”. And on and on and on...

The bitching about Boone I thought had jumped the shark before, but now we have people bitching about his interviewing skills. I’m sorry for ranting, but this has just gotten out of control. You’d swear this team was a disaster by the way many of these clowns post on a daily basis.

Definitely no intent as he had two strikes on him both times. Pretty sure it was 0-2 when Betances hit him in the foot with a down and in curveball.

I doubt the Nats retaliate but I wouldn't be surprised if they did just because it was Harper.

I'm not bitching, just stating my opinion.

I gave him credit for his analysis but I can't get past all the umms. Sorry but it reminds me of a 16 year old girl saying "like" every five seconds. It just jumps out to me and is a hard listen.

Nothing more nothing less, and as I said I never expected a guy who had experience in a booth to talk like that in pressers. It's annoying as hell to me, but the good thing is I can change the channel or mute his pressers which is what I end up doing when he gets rolling with the umms.

To be fair, I gave you a ton of shit before, but your posts have not been bad honestly. When you were making these trade proposals for a 2nd starter, none of them sounded good. It was a bad time for our starters and you jumped right in. While not ideal, I have faith in Tanaka in the postseason, our bullpen can make CC a viable option and I have hope for Gray after his last two.

Point is ppl didnt like ur proposals for emptying the farm for some u suggested. The others (Mad Baum, Mets guys) were unrealistic.

Otherwise u have been fine. Dont sweat it

Sounds like you're the one looking for something to bitch about. I made a random observation about Boone's handling of the media, Eman made an observation about something he finds irritating. I don't think either of us are losing sleep over it, or failing to appreciate how well the team is playing.

It's been like that for weeks dude. A poster suggest that a player is not doing well and maybe should be giving a break to work on things, and that poster is flamed Beyond existence and hyperbole happens. There is no such thing as having an opinion on Yankees threads these days. I'm not talkin about the Denny's stuff or some of the idiocy posted by Stan. If you don't agree with the masses the whole thread gets derailed

That's really all it is. I gave Boone credit, and am enjoying the hell out of this team. I think that's pretty obvious by my posts. Hell, I even defended Bird a few posts earlier so I'm far from a negative, bitching fan.

I certainly don't think saying I hope he gets better at it is bitching or complaining. To me that's rooting for the guy, and being positive, not negative.

I simply said I can't listen to his pressers because they are irritating with all the umms. Sure, I guess that sounds petty but it happens so much IMO, to me it's just irritating, so I either mute it or change the channel. No biggie, and it's not something I lose sleep over or obsess over. The mute button works fine.

Yes I know and it's really not a big deal. Thing is though I don't really tune in to get those guys insights like I do with Boone and Yankee post games.

I guess it just caught me by surprise how often he does it since I didn't expect it from a guy who has had experience in a booth and never heard him do it before. Now I can't help but notice. Again, it's not something I'm freaking out over, just a quirk that I find irritating so when it gets bad, I just mute him.

In the booth you are aware of

Good points and looking forward to the next game thread so this discussion will be put to rest. I definitely didn't mean to derail the thread or take away from a fun, great season by bringing it up.
