I think there are now 7 on the roster with 2 locks to make the team. I donít know any of the names beyond the top 2 plus Adams. What Iím wondering is if they are trying to accomplish 3 things. First, are they looking for a monster blocker? Are they looking for a TE who can catch some but block like an OL. As much as the OL is better than last year, it still could use an upgrade in the running game and that upgrade could come from
better blocking at the TE position (and at WR also). Second, they might be looking at a TE who could outplay the FB or be an H back. A player who can play 2 positions is more valuable than playing 1 position. Smith is only a FB. Last, maybe one of the TEs can upgrade the
special teams. Backup TEs have to play specials and having a few who can excel will go a long way to making the hteam,
Does anybody know why we keep bringing in so many TEs?
