Might be simplistic. Do not take the bat off your shoulder until he throws two strikes...
If he can work counts like that and get the walk rate up, look out.
He threw two nice ones there to Walker for strikes 2 and 3. Kid has balls throwing change ups there. I'll give him that.

1st two that were and they were changeups down the middle. Bad job by Walker.

Agreed. I can see getting fooled and missing the one for strike two but if he's going to throw that there, you know he's going to double up on it and throw it again. Hicks did the same thing last night in a big spot only he swung at three of them! Lol.
Umpire is not giving German the same strike zone.

That's how I see it too. Make him bring the ball up and approach it like every pitch the count is 3-0 and you have a green light. If it's right where you want it swing, if not let it go. Work this guy as it's clear he wants guys to chase,
The ball bounced a foot in front of the plate and Stanton actually swung at it. Then he swings at one that hits the plate, amazing

Twice......
Torres should eat him up this time.
Really? That’s a little extreme, no?
Don’t take that the wrong way. I’m asking because I respect your opinion.
Mike Trout and....
He’s not doing me any favors at all this season. Still #teamgary though

I would trade Torres straight up for in baseball either is about 2 players long or maybe even zero players long

HELL NO to degrom, dude is 30...
maybe thor though lol
Betts is great and as great as he is, but they don't need OF. Pitching yes. Altuve, love him, I just see him going down like Pedroia. He's balls to the wall all the time.
Nice throw there to nab that dude at third. Miggy flashing the leather too.
Not comparing ability but playing style. I just see him burning out or racking up injuries as hard as he plays like Pedroia did.
BTW didn't Pedroia have an MVP?

Yes, 2008. Not undeserved, either. Really incredible season, but to me still not the general caliber of player as Altuve.

Pedroia's MVP wasn't really that great a season. It just happened to come in a year where no one had a particularly huge year. Jeter had at least half a dozen seasons as good or better than Pedroia's 2008. Hell, Cano has a bunch too, but neither won an MVP.
Here's hoping the Mariners open up a can on the Sux tonight and this weekend.
Well he did foul off two 102 mph pitches. Glad they didn't speed up his bat with a slider.
Another Gleyber Day win...
The stuff is really impressive.
The stuff is really impressive.
He's getting better though. Last game he gave up two 1st inning homers and only one tonight.
You're right though, if he fixes that he's gonna be really good with his stuff. Uses all three pitches and his fastball is sneaky fast, kind of like Green's. It just explodes into the zone.
