Wheeler will likely remain as the swing tackle unless or until Flowers falters. I don’t remember seeing comments comparing Wheeler’s one game at LT compared to his several games at RT.
I really hope this works out with Flowers, even if he is only “one and done”.
Becton is interesting. There hasn’t been any comments on him.
What I find more interesting is Nick Becton played back-up left tackle.
My interpretation isn't that Becton has passed up Wheeler on the left tackle depth chart, but that Wheeler is still very much in competition with Flowers for the starting right tackle job and so they want him to continue getting most of his reps on the right side.
I expect the loser of the Flowers-Wheeler battle to be the swing tackle on game day and the loser of the Jones-Halapio OC battle becoming the swing interior OL on game day.

I agree with you Milton. I think this is just an indication that the Giants want Wheeler to get more comfortable at RT as he has spent most of his college and pro career at LT. This does not mean that Becton has surpassed him. How would he have been surpassed when there were no padded practices yet?
People who have been watching football as long as some on here have Â
should know better than to read too much into "depth charts" in May and June.
But even if that wasn't the case, the head coach has been saying every day not to pay too much attention to who plays where right now. They're just trying to get work in.
these are not padded practices. There is no real, physical contact. Once Ereck Flowers showed up, Wheeler moved to back-up right tackle spot.

Nick Becton ... Nick Becton whooo? Now I am going to have to google him ; )
In all seriousness - I haven't heard that name mentioned much in the last ... ?
Well, he is certainly big enough. Wikipedia has him 6'6" 325 ... but, he has been with 5 teams in the last 5 years ... signed with the San Diego Chargers (they were still in San Diego in 2013) as an undrafted free agent. 28 years old ... did the light go on late? Fingers crossed.
Not a lot of reporting on the mini camps. I guess beat guys are busy doing other things.
But, I don't think you can learn too much on OL play from non-contact and no pad practices.
