Is it really that unique? I guess not everyone was a shot-putter but the way he explained it makes sense, and if he's basically the best... I'm surprised nobody has emulated him.

The key is HOW to hold - that's the difference in good versus great coaching and playing. Just like Joe said it's hand placement and whay t you do with it.
With Flowers, it's just that he doesn't trust his own ability (so he drops his hands, to prevent people going around him). Solder is best thing that will ever happen for Flower's career. I think he will learn more from him than he's learned from any coach.
