1. Sevi vs. Stanek.

2, Nice MLB debut by Loaisiga last night. Gammons calls him a young Riveria

3. Cash makes it clear Gleyber is untouchable (so ESPN shut-up with the Gleyber for deGrom nonsense)

4. Nice game by SWB last night.
- Red Thunder with a HR
- McKinney with a 2B and HR (he suddenly has been raking HRs at quite the pace)
- Drury was 4 for 6 with 3 runs, 2 RBIs and a 2B (he is now hitting .344)

Slumps rarely last all year, and the longer the slump, the huger

the correction. I'm frustrated with the offense, but also realize amazing corrections are on the way. In the mid `70s Lou Piniella had an AWFUL year, but it turned out he had an inner ear infection, so his timing was a mess. Anyway, check everyone's ears, then wait for it. Sanchez, Stanton, Bird and Judge will go nuts.

but one of the most influential hitting coaches of all time. Amazingly, you don't need to be Ted Williams to teach hitting.

I have no idea whether Thames is a good hitting coach or how hard he works at his craft, but the Yanks aren't idiots, so I suspect that he's better than the results that the team has shown.

As for Stanton, I have no idea how he managed to hit as well as he did last year with such a closed stance. It sounds like he knows that the stance must change, but he's said he can't do so in mid-season. I really don't know why not, but who's gonna tell the reigning MVP with a 10 year contract to do something he doesn't want to do?

And, HI, BILL!

Stanton changed to the closed stance mid way through last season - and that is when the HRs started flying off the bat. So there is no reason he couldn't square his stance up a little bit tomorrow.
Sounds like he doesn't want to alter it.

Tries to perfect a swing that has antecedents re in some significant MLB success stories.

I dont remember seeing a good steady power hitter with Stantons closed stance swing

One bad inning cost him the game cause this shitty offense can’t score

Shitty offense? What team have you been watching all year?

They're scuffling right now scoring but they had some chances. It's not like they went down 20 guys in a row or something like that or haven't been getting on base these games.

Take a few deep breaths and relax a little. There's a long way to go, and they'll score plenty before all is said and done.

They are homer or nothing. In the last 20 games they have only scored more then 5 runs 4 times and have not scored double digit runs, But they are 14-6 in that span which means the pitching is doing it’s job, yanks have been winning games because they are getting very good pitching. Even Jack Curry said on the post game yesterday the Yankee offense has been frustrating to watch and yanks are winning because they are getting good pitching. and another thing it’s not like the Yankees are facing all star pitching staffs the offense should be a lot better then this..people ignore the offense because they are still winning. And before people call me a moron for complaining about the Yankee offense and how the Yankees are 46-21 so why am I complaining. Boston is not going away and I don’t want any part of that one game playoff we need to win the division something the Yankees haven’t done in 6 years.
Yanks are 3rd in runs scored

And have played five less games than leaders, hous and Boston. If they played the same games they’d be first.
