Yesterday was 90 degrees with very low humidity, which I have no problem with. But when the dew point hits 70 or higher I'd rather have 15 degrees with 25 mph winds.
I played golf yesterday. Was warm and very muggy. We were lucky with cloud cover almost the whole time and there was a slight breeze. Not the case today. 10 degrees hotter and no clouds or wind and high humidity. No thanks.
How about...fuck the extreme heat AND the extreme cold? Why does it have to be bounce from one to the other in comparison? Every hear of "middle-of-the-road", people?
It's called joking....He was making light of the heat because he was playing the most non-strenuous recreational sport on his day off. Just playing the role of "one of those" toppers.
Don't take it so hard and lighten up. Asshole? That's cutting it nice for BBI these days.
My central air has been busted for about a month, but I've been able to just keep the windows open since it has been cool most of the nights. I saw the forecast this week and knew that needed to be addressed ASAP.

Bingo. Why can’t it be 60-70 year round with a light breeze?! And no I’m not moving back to Southern California 🤮
..of the 6 months of non stop precipitation we've had here. I have not insignificant areas of my property that I'm just now able to walk on or drive a mower through without churning up mud for the first time this year.
Yes the heat sux yard work early am or evening. On the bright side what I pay in property tax for 1 year is what I paid in NJ for one month.
I lived near Irvine/Santa Ana from '83-'86 when I was in the USMC. Recently, I checked out the area on Google Earth. Seems like the population has doubled since then and all farms & orchids have gone bye-bye.
Sux about your taxes because you are paying for _______ ______ benefits.
Now, if you are in the top 1% of wage earners, you might enjoy San Juan Capistrano/Dana Point areas.
I just stepped out onto Madison Avenue... what a day to women watch. Love seeing some of the beautiful women of NYC strut their stuff on a hot-ass day like today (even a comment like that makes you wonder if you've violated some #metoo PCness - what a world...).
to think the same way during the winter that give me the heat because the cold sucks and you cant do anything but with these temps and humidity I have to rethink it because at least during the winter you can dress for the occasion but in these temps you just melt and can do little to fight it and throw in some mosquitoes and its a straight nightmare. I need to find a place that is like Fall year round.

Yup, agreed 100%. I've held that logic firm since I was a young kid, always felt that way. Even if your heat If off and it's 10 degrees outside, you will survive and can do many many things to keep warm and bundle up, etc etc
The heat, well I don't mind it , but when you are out in it for a while it's horrible and not great. Basically the only true solution is Cold AC. Otherwise you will sweat no matter what you do or you'll get sunburned in the pool

Where you stationed at Tustin? That base is being gobbled up by shopping centers and apartments. I work down the block. MCAS-EL Toro is now the "Great Park"..lol
except for Sept/Oct ... lived in Northern California twenty years ago and it was the closest thing I know to be mild and comfy like Autumns in NY. It does get hot in Silicon Valley and there's little shade on most of the peninsula, but it was worth it. Spent one Thanksgiving weekend watching football games while lounging in the hot tub, 65-70 degrees and breezy.
The 4 months June to September, may be hot and humid but I do everything early, golf, chores, whatever, Then jump in my pool. Later in the evening if the thunderstorms are over then a walk or a bike ride, work up a nice sweat and back in the pool. Tough life. No snow, no scraping windshields , no potholes!
Ooooo. Such a badass, playing golf, lol. Swinging once and then walking around. Probably just drive the cart. I work in this heat all day.
Long Beach island looked like a smoking oven this morning. Very little visibility.

Going out to play golf today around 2:00 or so because the course should be empty. I can walk and take my time. The heat doesn't bother me.

Work is for suckers and assholes like you.

would take that anyday over 98 with shit ton of humidity?
