Given the location, square footage, 3 car garage, and the real estate taxes (only $10,000), the house looks like a steal to me. I wouldn't be interested (I don't like bi-levels) and the overall design is not appealing to me, but nonetheless, nice property for the asking price.
is also selling his house (listed for $3,000,000).
Yeah, McAdoo's house is right next to my brothers house in Franklin Lakes, and he apparently spent tons of money on renovations, and the location is on a main road, at a very busy intersection. A bit mind boggling for a first time head coach.

I’m not even a little surprise. McAdoo’s a complete fool.

He's only a few miles away from me. His son Jerry Junior was the HS QB for Jefferson a few years ago. I've never seen JR in town ever though at the local stores or anywhere. He always seemed to keep a low profile

Fool? I don't think so. He's set for life.
He worked for less than two years but is getting paid for what, four or five? Now look, he’s no Charlie Weiss who was getting three paychecks at one time just to sit at home. It gives McAdoo something to aspire to.
No point in getting more house than you need, and he got a good area for his kids to grow up. Jefferson is cheap because its outside of commuting distance to NYC. But prob only 45 min to Giants stadium. Good fit for a smart guy.
McAdoo, on the other hand, either has a ton of cash or is stupid with his money. The price and location is just dumb for someone with a highly unstable job.
McAdoo bought that house with an interest-free loan from the Giants. He's trying to sell it for $700,000 than he paid for it in 2016, to make some money on it.
Some celebrities can and will jack up the price just because they lived there.
But I don't think McAdoo is the celebrity he thinks he is. I hope his luck serves him better than his brain.
you guys are paying that much in property Taxes? Jeez...whats the state income tax rate?
I dont get people calling it Modest, its a nice place , secluded..
Those taxes are cheap compared to my town. Taxes in my town are easily double to triple that amount and the housing market has been smoking hot. Houses selling for 12-15% over asking price

He should have been fired for that alone. Everyone knows it is location, location, location when it comes to real estate. Dumping a ton of money into a home on a main road that you had already spent 2 million on, not very smart. No way he sees 2.5 for that house let a alone 3.
Never knew that was his house. Yes it is on a very busy road and Franklin Lakes’ real estate market is ice cold. Good luck getting $3 Million.
I live not that far from him, there is no way he is getting that kind of money for being on a main road. Thanks to the tax law these houses that have taxes well over 10,000 are moving like snails.

Guy thought he was an actual athlete living like that. Even Matt Fortes house was more humble .. macadoo was a mistake.
Reese though, props to him. Very nice home, savings, and practical. Slightly far, but a man like Reese working the way he was, those 35-45 min drives prob brought him peace and quiet at times. I'm sure he never drove during traffic hours, and he prob had a really nice office at home to work there 3-4 days a week or more maybe. Reese was very smart, and this house listing just shows Reese's IQ is very high and his savvy as a man and father and husband is ELITE assuming he's not just cheap. It's a really nice house and property.
Only issue with oak ridge , if you wanna order some takeout, goodluck.. only a couple spots within reasonable close 10-15 Min drive.. kinda pathetic other then that it's a really good spot. Lots of bears though.

...or more accurately, they list the house for more than they paid because 1) the market has appreciated a little in value over the past 2 years, and 2) you give yourself wiggle room to negotiate when the first offer inevitably comes in at 25% below ask.
Especially with mortgage rates now north of 5% and taxes so much higher in the tri-state area, he's not getting $3 million ... but rarely do sellers think they'll get their asking price to begin with.

or as someone noted above, he did a ton of renovations since buying
That’s the part that is sad about this stuff. Some of these guys are actually good people and just couldn’t make things work. Reese did a good job with skill positions and the D line for the most part, but just couldn’t figure out the offensive line. I’m sure he’ll catch on somewhere as an executive for some team. Smart guy, didn’t piss all of his money away on a crazy expensive house like McAdope.
Guy was commuting 2 hours each day total
Very cool, he even shopped at acme. So humble when Sparta or Franklin has the wegmans

He must be his own agent.... That is a really nice house. He can't negotiate very well.
Not our problem any longer.

He doesnt have room. That moron would need a separate storage space to place all of those oversized suits.
