NFT: Vacation loding help Lake George

pmmanning : 6/20/2018 11:15 am
My wife and I are going to spend a week at the end of August in Lake George. We usually do Home Away, VRBO etc.. near the ocean but with 3 smaller kids (6,5 and 2) the ocean is pretty stressful.

There aren't a lot of great options on these sites for private homes (they are mostly cabins).

We would like at least two bedrooms a pool onsite and walking distance to some places to eat, have fun etc..We will have our mini van and will be taking some day trips.

Looking at some of the hotels and the Villas on Lake George.

Any input will be appreciated.

Thx

Sagamore is great, and they have mini houses (2 levels) that you can

It's just kind of away from all the stuff. There isn't really anything within walking distance.

I've stayed at the Holiday Inn resort, which is right downtown in the middle of everything, and it was nice. I'm not sure if they have multi-bedroom rooms or not, though.

Another option is the Great Escape Lodge, which has an indoor water park and is across the street from the Great Escape Six Flags park. I believe they have deals that include the park tickets. I've had friends stay there before.

Seems to meet what you're looking for. We've stayed here twice when my girls were younger and bought all inclusive packages. Well run, nice place that's very convenient.

You won't regret it. It's walkable to the village and it's a really nice place. Have fun. I love it up there.
The Sagamore used to be a customer of ours...

visited the executive chef about 20 years ago. The guy was living in a trailer. I wondered how much they were paying the guy back then.
