trailer linked below.
series starts tonight on Paramount Network (formerly Spike TV) I think it's their first series.
10 episodes with premise copied from Wikipedia below:
Yellowstone follows "the Dutton family, led by John Dutton, who controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States, under constant attack by those it borders — land developers, an Indian reservation, and America’s first National Park. It is an intense study of a violent world far from media scrutiny — where land grabs make developers billions, and politicians are bought and sold by the world’s largest oil and lumber corporations. Where drinking water poisoned by fracking wells and unsolved murders are not news: they are a consequence of living in the new frontier. It is the best and worst of America seen through the eyes of a family that represents both."[1] |
I admit I don't have too high expectations, but this concept interests me.
Anyone planning to watch?
I think they timed it right in this spacious sports void with only baseball as the active sport. And the TV season mostly over for current shows.
Yellowstone - (
New Window )
He's 3/3 as far as I'm concerned with the movies he's written. Sicario, Hell or High Water, and Wind River. I'll definitely check this out.
only Costner I believe was in both, but that had a great cast and at least one of the Deadwood writers.
Not many have been published so I won’t put much stock in that yet.
I think just tonight is 2 hours and then 8 more weeks on Wednesdays at 9. I believe.
