We cut the cord about a month ago. While I enjoy the savings, I hate my current expwrience with VueTV. My roommate and I liked the channels (Elite package at $55/mo) and the unlimited DVR. But I am really unhappy with the interface as you cant just poke flip back and forth and if you miss a play, you cant rewind back to what you missed. The DVR is unlimited, but BLOWS in that you cant extend recordings for sports. When I wanted to DVR tonights Yanks game on MLB Network because I had to run some errands, it DVRs everything that is tagged "MLB Baseball" and does so if you want to make future recordings. Plus, when I turned the game on, it give you no option to start from the beginning and it picked up right at Live TV.
Its really very frustrating and was wondering what others' experiences have been with services that maybe highlight what you CAN'T do with them. Im very disappointed with the transition and can see what I paid for with cable.
If you are recording a live event it will ask if you want to start live or from the beginning. UI is much much nicer and easier navigate.
The downside is that recorded tv shows sometimes will force the "on demand" version of a show, which doesn't allow the fast forwarding through commercials. Does not happen with all shows or live sports though. Really just affects prime time network tv.
These services are what I wrong with cord cutting. $55 for VueTV, plus I'm assuming you are paying ~$70 for internet - I gotta figure you can get a reasonable Comcast bundle for ~$120.
My advice is if you want to cut the cord and get a better DVR sports experience ... Get an HD antenna and hook it up to a HomeRun or look at Kodi plugins. Then you may also need to sign up for the packages directly (MLBtv, NFL Gamepass) and look up international VPN. For the record for the past 3 years TMobile has given away free MLBtv for it's customers.
Thanks, just checked out YouTube, and it offers them. $40 a month? I'm in!
Hulu - liked it. Didn't have BBCAmerica which I love, and the interface is only ok
YouTubeTV - on day 2 of the trial and I really like it so far. Interface is good; picture is great. Hopefully no buffering issues... I expect I will switch to this when the trial is over.

Of all of them, I think YouTube TV had fewest issues with buffering. But, I run my DirecTVNow with a wired connection to an appletv and it is fast. the DVR is still buggy as hell. nearly unusable. I'm sticking with DTV though, it's been really good otherwise.
I like the fact that I can use my DirectvNOW credentials to login to HBO GO and Showtime Anytime apps. I get both for $13/mo and the individual apps give you access to their entire library.
Net Neutrality is definitely a concern, as I will have to use Optimum for broadband. I have to think they will throttle me at some point. Ajit Pai sucks.
