If the Frenchies bring their A game today. Or if we get to see their A game at all this WC. With all that talent, would be a real shame if they didnt advance past their group.
You could put the score in for those at work....just sayin!
1 - 1 draw.
I am at work, and the score was two post up.... Attention to detail missing some?
That was posted in the 1st half if you observe the time 08:38. So yeah, there was attention to detail - like the small detail that the game still had nearly an hour left from time that score was posted..
Peru deserved better than to be eliminated after two games. They played well. Their finishing let them down. Things could have been different if they just convert that penalty against Denmark

No greater gap in the tournament between the quality at the front and the quality in the midfield/defense than Argentina
Agree...meanwhile the ref could have put his stamp on the match, in a positive way, had he given Rebic a caution after the 2nd, or even 3rd reckless tackle me made--after saying NO MAS after the 1st. Instead, he waited until the 4th.
Rarely seen Modrić this physical. Croatia doing a good job maintaining its line and it's bottling up Argentina for the most part, with some notable exceptions that Perez could not exploit. It should be an interesting 2H.
Belgium has a legitimate shot to win the Cup. Outside of Russia’s fattening up on patsies, Belgium has looked to have the most cohesive unit (IMO). I do concede Portugal has looked good, but they made enough mistakes in the game against Spain to have me say they’re not necessarily firing on all cylinders.
While it was mentioned above with the dropoff from Argentina’s forwards to the midfield/rearguard, I honestly think England has a fairly large dip in quality from forward to mid, although the back line has a couple of good links back there.
goal from Modric, and then a free kick hits the crossbar.
The color commentator correctly noted that Argentina has been dominated in the midfield. As someone said, there is a big disparity of talent between their midfield and front line.
Bobby, was expecting a send-off, I guess Ottamendi didn't kick Racketić hard enough
pganut--and hello, again!!--too early to say about Belgium: it played an unknown side in Panama, who hung in there for a half, before Belgium's quality put to rest any questions, and we won't really know anything more after Saturday, when they play a Tunisia side that has no attacking instinct or capability whatsoever.
I expect Germany to bounce back, Brasil did not look stellar against a chippy Swiss side, can't dismiss Croatia or Mexico at this point; Portugal slow and steady and Ronaldo and Spain not looking like it's firing on all cylinders...it will be a scrap, as it always is
Spain has issues, but the answers are there if they're willing to implement them. I actually feel better about their chances now than I did at the start.
Isco has been one of the five or so best performers so far, but his style of play is different than Iniesta and Silva. It may be a question of time to adjust, or maybe introducing Asensio for one of the older guys.
Croatia is one of those teams which is flying under the radar Â

too bad USA isn't even in this tournament to take advantage of the chaos
spike, don't know if you caught GoTerps link too the travesty of USMNT, USSF, and Klinsmann, scathing indictment.
Isco on the field Saturday was a revelation too me: he's been much hyped but seemed to bee lost in in the mix too often: one of the three or four best players on the field, a Real Madrid talent but they will make it work, Iniesta has no ego

Actually would like to see Aspa a bit more if not as a starter over Costa

As Terps said, if the ref didn't send off the Croatian player in the first half for a stomp, he wasn't sending off Otamendi. Better team won anyway.

Latest one results in an Mbappe tap in. 1-0
Pogba playing really well

Spain has that issue now. Washed up might be harsh, but Busquets, Iniesta, and Silva don't have the legs anymore. It will cost them.

Same with Germany and Argentina.
I see Portugal winning this thing. CR7 is on another level
Argentina is in trouble.

He looked like he was on the verge of a full panic attack...
For real?
