He does his job so great in fact he feels he has the power to speak up and make crazy statements every 24-36 months or so.. but he's generally not wrong.
Huge, huge mega asshole though. Reminds me of Jonah hill in wolf on Wall Street but 10x worse and on roids
he turned a negotiation that was easy once Rudy was in office ( huge Yankee fan) into many years where he said and made awful and bad meddling decisions on baseball side, poisoned morale via media meddling. Just another FlimFlam Man who latched on to another fading owners fading skills and focus.
If a woman we call that play a gold digger. Same playbook
He has a contract with a huge parachute otherwise he would be gone.
We can go into the historical details that lead to those observations
It's not sustainable, but the guy is getting on base at like a 47% clip right now. He really does not belong in the minors. But.. when you're logjammed with talent...
The Sawx have the Mariners, Angels, Yankees, and Nats in their next four series.

He has pop, no doubt. He can turn on a pitch. But as lead off he should be looking to get on. Plus, if the pitcher keeps the balls outside, take what he gives. He is looking good.

Finally.

Frazier isn't showing pop yet, but Thunder can absolutely hit MLB pitching. And honestly, that's fine - not everyone needs to be a HR hitter. If he's going to continue hitting over .300 and keep getting on base, that works for me.

Yuo - agreed. He's definitely capable of parking a few over the fence, but I love his approach right now. I think the type of hitter he's been thus far is exactly what's needed. Get on base and let one of the boppers drive you in.
Yanks' schedule is mixed for a while - some decent teams, some patsies - but starting first week of August is a nice stretch of palookas. White Sox, Rangers, Rays, Blue Jays, Marlins, Orioles, White Sox again, Tigers, A's.
4-2, Yanks.
thanks Greg usually fillow on nj.com but they don't have anything
Just get through this inning and they have Robertson, Green, and Betances rested and ready. I assume Chapman's unavailable after pitching last night.
Anyone feel a noticeable change in Frazier's approach at the plate? I see no reason he is sent down. If he is a trade chip then i'd rather he flash for us before we move him.
I was misinformed and as always I thank you for the clarification. Happy trails, Clint Frazier is very fun to watch.
Lol yeah, that caught absolutely NONE of the plate. Didn't even skim the black. I'll take it!
Betances > Chappy and let's go home.
Insurance would be nice.
Haha yeah, it really wasn't close at all. There was visible space between the ball and the plate.
This dude just wants to get out of here ASAP. I'm surprised Haniger let that go without an argument. Maybe they want to get out of here too.

This goes to something I said the other day.
Almost ALL of the Yanks recent success can be traced directly to the decision to trust their own prospects instead of going out and getting "trusted veterans." That decision, except for Wade, has paid off in a HUGE way.
I think that after Frazier gets incorporated into the starting lineup, maybe by the start of next year, the Yanks position guys will be complete for the most part, with just future tinkering.
The Yanks bullpen is beginning to transition as well. We have seen Holder fully emerge as a key piece. I think we see others like Feyereisen and Cody Carroll- who may be the eventual replacements for Robertson and Warren (FA at the end of the year).
However, IMO, it is critical for the Yanks to place full trust in their young SP. German has already emerged- and IMO, should already be considered a mid-rotation SP. Loaisiga has one good, one bad start. If he can't break through now, that's ok- he can go back to the minors and develop some more. That's when you give Sheffield a chance.
I have a sense that the fanbase is paying too much attention to the "know-nothings" in the media who ALWAYS think that making a trade is the first and only choice. The Yanks have a chance to develop their own stars and allow them the flexibility going forward to make quick decisions based on need instead of financial considerations.
Let's put it this way.
If the Yanks turn over Gardner, Robertson, CC and Walker's roles to Frazier, Holder, German and Wade (or even Avelino), the Yanks would have the financial flexibility to make a choice on Ellsbury. If it came down to eating the rest of that contract, they could- and they would still be SIGNIFICANTLY under the luxury tax line.
