First. Doncics mom? Jeeeesus. Even a couple of my sons college buddies are texting him about her lol. Hilarious.
Lonnie Walker. Loved how he helped his mom down the stairs even when dad had bolted through.
Wendell Carter Jr. was accepted to Harvard. He was my pick this morning. That seals it. Carter and Wagner at the top of the second and Im thrilled.
Here we go!
Greg Oden status probly
Not even remotely like taking Frank. You can be critical of the pick, but that's just an asinine thing to say.
I like Knox as a player, but I don't think he's athletic enough to be an NBA SF. I think he's a stretch 4.
Good to hear. I have a small measure of confidence the current Knicks brass has a bit of a clue when it comes to developing players. Hope this kid works out.
But let nothing derail the 2019 tank without Porz
Let's see them develop ..
Nice little nucleus , one more tank job and draft a star and we might be onto something
I really really like Knox. Porter was my guy but he must be degenerately injured
A back, a hip, and questionable character are not things we could gamble on. If we were at #12 then maybe. Knox is similar scorer and looks alot like Tatum, but a year younger when they both came out.
I'm totally fine with this pick. Coming from a great program, still SUPER young, tons of talent to work with. He can shoot, he's got size, versatility.
This is cool with me. The Knicks didn't do anything fucking absurd which is enough to placate me, sadly.
Knox is a gamble, because he is the youngest player in the draft and hasn't come close to growing into his body yet. He's 6'9"
No, he doesn't have quality defensive skills, but could he develop them by age 21? He'll be 19 in August. Caliperi loves his upside (link), and supposedly at the Knicks 3 on 3 workout he kicked Mikal Bridges' ass.
So youre getting a 6-10 scorer whos tougher than you think but has a way to go. Hes going to mature physically. What you find out when you get him is thats what the league is moving to: 6-10 guys who can score the ball, can shoot it, can block shots. Athletically he can do it.
Picking a very young, physically immature player could have upside for next year's lottery, relative to Bridges at 21 who is closer to what he will ultimately become.
i want diallo, go full upaide with this draft

Teams are going to say two years from now, Why would we have passed on him? Calipari said during a conference call. Hes the youngest player in this draft. Hes mentally mature. Hes got a great drive and will within his body. But physically his body isnt there yet.

funny thjng about knox in high school he was known as a hustle, defender, rebounder type of player...
knicks got a steal he is gokng tk show so much more than what he was able to show at kentuxky
Mills too

It was actually Miles Bridges from Michigan St. who's ass Knox kicked. Mikal was the safer pick, and I liked that his pedigree. After taking Ntilkina last year - though they might have looked at the safer pick this year, but Knox is no way a bad pick.
Mikal Bridges was a safer pick, but probably will outperform the Knicks plan which is to build a playoff caliber team in 3 years or so, via the draft and FA. Can't have that
How does the new lottery system work?
What kind of comedy show are you doing?
Mother has to quit over this. I feel so bad for her and her son. Wow.
Who does the HR person call when something like this happens?
This is not good.

Mikal Bridges just did an entire press conference talking about staying in Philly. He was traded as it ended. He had no idea.
