Praise what?? A team that was just shut out against the crappy rays who have now beaten us 3 games in a row. Praise Stanton whose batting .240 and strikes out 3 times a game. Praise bird and Sanchez who are batting under .200. Praise Didi whose been awful the lasts two months. Aside from Andujar Judge and Torres the offense has been dog shit. But everyone wants to bash the pitching. That’s not the problem

Losing games to bad teams count to buddy. 11 combined losses to Tampa Texas Baltimore Kansas City Miami and Detroit. What is Boston’s record against those teams??? That could determine who wins this division. Yankees beat good teams and struggle vs crap. Half the losses have come against bad teams
Wasn’t happy with their approach at the plate early in the game. They knew their bullpen was used a lot yesterday and today’s pitcher had like 65 pitches thru 5 innings.

This is the first series the Yanks have lost since the Texas series, and how long ago was that? *LITERALLY* a full month ago, from 5/21-5/23. It's the Yanks first series loss in a full month. LOL, they will be okay. But it would be nice to get one tomorrow before we depart Tampa; that's for sure.

The only issue I really have with this team is Shreve Â
Other than that, my question is how long do they stay commktted to Bird? And I don't mean just this year. He has the nicest swing on the team. Bjt his inability to remain healthy and his lack of consistency when healthy are valid points of concern at this point. A big part of this problem is Walker and Austin haven't been better.

Everyone said the same thing last year. And even though if you believed BBI that losing in the 7th game of the ALCS was an utter failure, it wasn’t. It was a tremendous accomplishment for a team that nobody expected to be there at the beginning of the season. All season we kept reading here that there was no way they could win in the playoffs because they hit too many HRs. They beat Minnesota. They beat a very, very good Cleveland team rather handily. And they took the eventual champs to a 7th game. Boston got their asses kicked by the same team and they were the team that many here seem to want to emulate. They didn’t hit HRs, they hit singles and doubles all year. How did that work out for them?
Yes, they did lose in 7 games to Houston, and that’s all that matters, but FWIW, they outhit Houston in that series in almost every category. Someone posted the numbers awhile back. They Yankees certainly didn’t hit great, but neither did Houston, and they are another team everyone here wants to emulate. And they hit worse against a weaker staff, since everyone is always drooling over Houston’s pitching, the Yankees hit their pitching better than Houston did ours. So again, this idea that this offense isn’t built for the playoffs is hysterical. And this years team is even better offensively. Even if they don’t show it every single night or they go through dry spells. Just relax and enjoy the journey.
He is such a pull hitter he is very easily defeated by the shift to his side.
Id like Judge to slowly over the years level off the uppercut and hit opposite field. I think the shorter path to the ball and his strength will produce a steady 300/425obp/1.050+ player. Even if it means 35-40 home runs. If you have Stanton and Sanchez behind you that's the most valuable contribution from the 2nd slot.
After watching Sonny Grey id get a left bullpen pitcher and one more starter.
We need to remember that if they keep it close they can give German and Loiasiga and Shefield experience. They can manage CC and Severinos innings. They can get rest and sharpen the pen
