NFT: Dallas food/golf recommendations

Flying to Dallas tomorrow for work and staying at the Westin Galleria. Should have some free time Tuesday night and Wednesday. Any recommendations for food in the area?

I googled around and saw Texas Star Golf Course was one of the better public courses but they have a tournament Wednesday. Any other course recommendations?

If you want a public course do Tour 18 in Flower Mound

Its 18 holes modeled after 18 famous holes around the world, for example Amen Corner. Texas Star is just ok.

Also a few great steak houses near the galaria, either Del Frisco's or 3 Forks would be great choices

Deep Ellum has a bunch of good restaurants and bars. For BBQ - Pecan Lodge. Bar with food - Angry Dog.

For golf, avoid Tour 18, they lost a bunch of their greens. Literally unputtable. I actually like Texas Star, but since not available, look into Old American or The Tribute. Its going to be hot, so be prepared. Enjoy

Tour 18 is a good distance from Galleria area in North Dallas.
Check out Uptown area for some very good restaurants and bars.

Which is on the east side of Dallas has a number of fantastic restaurants. My favorite was "The Grape"

Nick and Sams. Best steak house going. Nothing in NYC is even close.
