was incredible. Harrison to Lundy to Ingram to Morrow to Donovan. I can still remember the jingles and distinctive way each name was introduced at the beginning of each shift. Tell your kids about what AM radio was back then and they think you're taking about listening to FDR's fireside chats.
But it was damn good. RIP to him and all the rest of those great DJ's.
brings back a memory of that transistor radio with the one ear plug. Later I graduated to a "HiFi" stereo and WNEW but before high school it was all about those guys on WABC

when he was at CBS-FM, and I worked at the network. My office was just outside the door into the radio station, and Dan would often come into my office, plop himself into a chair, and shoot the shit for a while.
Totally unassuming, and a genuinely nice man. RIP Dan, if there is an after-life, I hope it involves you spinning records for everyone.

CBS FM - they used to have a terrific Halloween show.
And did they used to play Dr. Demento on Sunday nights?
Chris
Ron was one of the nicest people I have had the pleasure to know. In an industry with so much backstabbing and infighting, I never heard Ron say a bad word about anyone.

You forgot Scott Muni pre-WNEW-FM

Thanks Jay! It's funny, I was there at the time that video was made, but I don't remember him with a beard.
