This year the officiating is seeing a big turnover. Wonder will it be for the better or worse?

He's a good ref, and a bit of a character. Refs a lot of college basketball, too. Another pretty good ref, Terry McAulay, retired as well. Hochuli and Triplette both sucked anyway.
Seriously?

My view is that he was a double threat ref. Stunk at both football and college basketball. He is especially horrible in basketball.

Are there any refs you happen to like? Steratore's pretty highly regarded.

was terrible in the Superbowl. The big most memorable play should have been blown dead for illegal formation.
Refs are invisible...

Until they make a bad call or two. Then those are the only plays a fan remembers.
The name "Steratore" reminds me of the jokes that Johnny Carson used to tell about his first "girlfriend"...Gina Statutory.

Ah, my man Tony with the truth. Quietly a bad college basketball ref.

with Tony.
Steratore was not good at either sport.
Good refs shouldn't be among the highest each year in the number of flags they throw.
Steratore had a reputation around the league for throwing a high rate of Defensive Pass interference flags and the stats confirm it.
