Sweden could play so badly in the last 10 minutes against Germany, even with a man advantage, and then dominate Mexico for 90 minutes. Also, Germany breezed through its qualifying matches only to finish last in its group. Did they choke against South Korea? I assume Tony in Berlin will be issuing a statement when and if he recovers.
They‘ve been playing terrible soccer for more than a year now. The mistake was to assume that the remaining players of World Cup 2014 could just turn it up once 2018 started. They could not. Mueller, Oezil, Gomez and Khedira have been washed up for a while now. Neither of them should have started. Draxler and Werner haven‘t played well either. Neuer, Boateng, Hummels, Kroos and Reus were the only ones who cared to show up. And Kroos simply is not a leader like Schweinsteiger or Ballack used to be. He cannot take over a game or will a whole team to victory. That team did not fail due to a lack of skill but due to a lack of will and attitude.

South Korea was playing well and for their WC lives as well. Some of these "lesser" teams in the WC have really stood up to the "giants". The talent and skill levels are catching up.
Typ, more bread crumbs than clams... smh
