Very strange stuff. They keep kicking the ball down the field (they seem upset with him) the way they used to be with Matz. Cespedes used to be a guy who put up 500 PA's in his sleep, he may just be aging poorly.. or maybe he got paid and cares less. Hard to say. I'd shut both he and Bruce down if it meant healthy next season.
But is it really surprising? The comments that were made early in the month?
One guy is happy getting paid while enjoying the retirement life.
While another is working his ass off through some VERY difficult and challenging times.
The biggest wonder is how the words werent a helluva lot sharper.
But it is actually irrelevant since Bautista has a .909 OPS with the Mets and the reason he signed here is because he knew he would get playing time with all the OF injuries.
Again, he is no rush to get back because the team sucks.
