A+
Gimenez 1-3, BB, K
Lindsay 0-4, 2 k's (He's just not a good player. I'm sorry but at some point it has to be said. .171 over his last 10, 15 k's last 35 ab's. OPS on the season. .651. He'll still be top 20ish on most lists because of his age and where he was picked but he's given very little reason to expect him to round into anything more than some extra OF best case)

Atkins 2 perfect 5 k's

Normally I wouldn't even ask, but well since this is the Mets I figure his freak injury isn't too far off.

The Mets were showing him off at Citi
I don't know whether it is different coaching or a better catcher -- but a light has come on for him. I wish him luck.
They are saving Reyes for the day when Wright gets on the field.

Mess should've kept Harvey and traded Vargas
Mauricio 2-3, triple, Special K singles him in (1-1, 2 walks, now 9/14 with 2 walks to begin his career, might be the rare quickie promotion to Kingsport, looks too good for this level) #Mets
I was (and still am) skeptical, but you have to give him credit for plugging away and performing at least at a respectable level.
Even if he is 30 in AA.
I'm hoping he gets a shot at Queens (especially in a lost year) seems like something the Wilpons would do.

He should get a shot in Queens in September, given the lack of OF talent in the minors.
He has 4 teammates join him in the AS game.

#Mets relief prospect Stephen Nogosek, acquired in the Addison Reed deal, was promoted to Binghamton after 23 appearances in St. Lucie. An FSL all-star, he struck out 37 batters in 32.1 innings.
Along with Ali Sanchez and Nido, Mets have some good defensive catchers in the system.
CPA Kelly 2/4 with 2 runs
Alonso 2/4 2 Runs a double and a walk
McNeil 1/3 with a HR 2 runs a walk and 3 rbis
Guillorme 1/3 with a walk
Bing - who really cares
Gimenez another HR and a walk
King Ali 1/3
Peterson with a terrible box score, but the exact kind of game you want to see a mi or leaguer pitch through. Struggled with his command, didnt have his best stuff. But held it together very very well. If learning outing for him
5.2 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 5 BB and ZERO Ks
Columbia, nothing excited last night.
Brooklyn, virtually everyone had a good offensive night and VT played like shit on top of it. So wont list them, but usual suspects here. For a team no one wanted to follow, they aint half bad. Same thing could be said for Kingsport
GCL. Mauricio DHd went 2/4 with a triple and 2 runs. Kelenic 1;2 and showed tremendous patience with two walks. Anyone who lives in FL may want to get a glimpse of him live and in person from 50 while they can!!
FYI, GCL games may be one of my fVorite pro games to see in any sport...
