The guy is a headcase, missed an entire season for a grade 1-2 quad injury/deliberately sat out which is even worse and hasn't carried a team to a finals since Duncan departure
yes overrated. Outside of Paul George, he is the first name that comes to mind.

They have a real shot of pulling off a Lebron/ Kawhi/ Embiid/ Simmons big 4. I think putting a good shooter like Reddick as the 5th guy negates any concerns about Simmons lack of shooting.
If they want they can offer a better package than the Lakers unless the Spurs view Ingram as a cant miss prospect. But Philly
Could offer some combination or all of Saric/ Covington/ Fultz/ Zhaire Amith/ Miami 2021 pick. And I think getting Kawhi is really like getting the combo of Lebron and Kawhi. I dont see Lebron saying no to playing with that 3 plus supporting cast.
What would his other option be? The Lakers with all those young guys? Back to Cleveland ?
Kawhi a complimentary piece when he has already won a title, finals mvp, and was without question the best player on that team just makes you look like a complete fool.
Its not an opinion that he is more than a complimentary piece, its a fact. It cant ne debated. He has already proven that he can be the best player on a title team.
When healthy...I wonder about Kawhi's thigh injury which sideline him most of the season and think it's worse than what is being let on (possibly a career-threatining issue as tendinopathy could be degenerative)

I think he just wants to pin point a reason to get out of San Antonio other than "I dont like being in San Antonio, this team has no shot against the power houses of the league and I hate being attribute as a system player". He played just fine and shut himself down after a few games.
Certainly makes you appreciate his "quiet hero" personality a lot less but the dudes a top 5 player no if ands or buts.

You dont actually know why he didnt come back yet are calling him a head case anyway. Ron Artest was a headcase, sounds reasonable to compare the two...
It is certainly fair to question how healthy Kawhi is,
but overrated? Hes one of the 5 best players in the NBA. Philly isnt trading Simmons for Kawhi without Kawhi signing an extension, and even then, Im not sure they do it.
The Knicks have reportedly reached out to unrestricted free agent Amir Johnson.
Johnson could help backup the center spot in New York, but he wouldn't have any value in fantasy hoops.

I honestly think Simmons for Kawhi makes a lot of sense even
IMO the biggest problem with LBJ to Philly is Simmons is not a good fit. Kawhi is a way better fit. LBJ/Kawhi/Embiid is a terrible match up for GS. They would get killed on the boards and those 3 are all first team NBA defense caliber players.
I don't think SA gets a better offer than Simmons + Miami 1st rounder either.
See is Mario is legit, if so its good for 2 reasons, 1 you can package him in a trade at deadline to offload Lee for expirings or 2 its anothwr young plywe that you have added to the mix. Additionally you dont want to sign anyone to a deal past 1 year. Oquinn is great locker room guy who is still developing and is again another piece that can be traded at deadline to a contender even if its for a second rounder its worth it.
I really think you and many others overstate this need to unload lee. Lee could be traded on his own without any added chips in my opinion. Hes making chump change compared to virtually every other vet going. And he can play both ends of the floor.
Just because the Knicks didnt deal lee last season doesnt mean they couldnt deal him.
HE is what he is at this point, which is a pretty good power forward. Pretty good defender, pretty good rebounder and can sneak in 10 points a game. Hes also good for 1-2 boneheaded inexcusable mistakes every single game.
Adrian Wojnarowski
The Knicks and Hezonja close out a tough recruitment, where several teams -- including Portland, Sacramento and Memphis -- competed for a fifth overall pick from the 2015 NBA Draft. Hezonja was drawn to coach David Fizdale, after going thru several coaching changes in Orlando.

For Hezonja and KNICKS, it's a one-year, $6.5M deal, sources tell ESPN. He'll have a real opportunity to create some traction for his career with the Knicks.
Yes. Yes I think they are. Smart moves, with a clear plan and an idea about what to do in the years to come. I don't know what to say. It's nothing something you are used to.
in the aftermath of the Lebron signing, but I think it's a nice job by the Knicks. Orlando doesn't develop talent - look at how Oladipo flourished after leaving there. Tobias Harris, too. Mario started 30 games or so last season and averaged about 15ppg on 37% from deep. There's more upside there. He and KP are close friends, too.
That guy on Twitter who clearly has a source close to Courtney Lee (Jesus Rodriguez?) said this signing makes a Lee trade much more likely. Also cuts into Lance's minutes. Could be a win all around.

#Knicks SG C. Lee is telling those close to him he expects to be traded. Hasnt been told when or where but he is under the impression he will not be a Knick by the start of the season.

his source with knicks is either lee or someone very close to lee
Yep, that would be a nice offseason. Not a bad start for the Mills/Perry combo, though nothing earth-shattering either. Knox and Mario are nice young additions, and Fizdale's a big upgrade over our recent clown coaches.
I know that there is the whole "positionless basketball" thing and that most here don't want the Knicks to win a single game, but I'm still curious to see the power forward rotation until KP comes back. Seems that the centers are too big and uncoordinated and the small forwards aren't big enough, at least yet.
Also, I personally liked the Burke and Frank back court last season, but now that there are actually small forwards on the team I'd bet we see more Frank and THjr instead. I'm not the biggest THjr fan. I hope this season is more interesting than the end of last season, as I stopped watching after the all star break.
The sharpshooting Hezonja was seeking a multi-year deal, but he settled despite interest from seven other teams.
An NBA source close to Hezonja said, The main reason is David Fizdale. He sold him. The goal is to be here long term and finish his career. He was a fan of the team growing up.
We know they cant compete for a championship this year. Sign young guys with possible upside, see who sticks and go for it next free agency. Ill watch them them with interest.

for Kawhi and a future 1st rounder, LeBron to Philly. It makes too much sense
Some of 5ese sixers trades are nuts?
Trading Simmons? The whole reason for a big 3 w lebron? Leonard is at best a complimentary piece. Most overrated player in NBA.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Given the bias- not sure its relevant color .... as why would Shaq know

It really could be as simple as whats best for his family at this point.
