comment on today's players, but when I was a kid back in the early 70's I received a lot of autographed photo's in the mail when I would send out fan letters.
of books I enjoyed and pundits of some sort that I followed and they almost always response. I haven't had a response once but that's because I wrote a damn book in my email. I know players are more popular and probably get more mail.
Which is one reason not to be a dick when you write or email or text or tweet.
You may be mad about how a player or team is performing, but there's a human being on the other end of the thing you're writing. Writing to them isn't some kind of performance art, it's a letter to another person.
as a kid, I corresponded with Jimmy Robinson, WR Â
they came to the conclusion after many losing seasons that they made some really big mistakes, doubled down and need to clean house. Wonder if they could have made more money financially if they had listened?
But I'd say atleast 1/3 or 1/4 of them read it
The Maras have always read it, Kevin Durant reads his twitter comments, Many others.
(Actually I lied I didn't get a response twice).
But even Ringo has his limits...
He's warning you with peace and love, peace and love, peace and love! - ( New Window )
