As much as possible about the game and what it takes to be and what it takes to be an NFL RB.
Only benefit for the Cowboys is if Barkley’s character rubs off on Elliot and he stops beating and harassing women.
Barkley will be sloppy and leave the playbook in his gym bag Â
in general that athletes didnt do shit like this but it's the age we live in.
When you really think about it, it actually doesn't make much sense whatsoever that people in the same career shouldn't have anything to do with one another just because they have different employers. It was a thing back in the old days, but it's not like it made much sense then either. You just did it because it was expected.
Neither one of these players chose the companies they work for. There's no reason for any kind of rivalry on a personal level. Now in a few years of games played, maybe Zeke costs the Giants a playoff spot, or vice versa, then it makes sense.
RE: If Barkley starts wearing daise duke shrits like Zeke Â
I get this is a newer generation thing and I guess it doesn't really matter but it seems to be more for these high profile, offensive super stars that are very into their images and social media status. Can you imagine Snacks, or Hernandez, or even a Brandon Jacobs working out with players from a hated division rival? Think Eli would ever go out an throw passes and give advice to Zack Erts?? Nothing we can do about it but I don't have to like it. I am sure we will be seeing ALOT of jersey swapping going on with SB, and that is OK. Just a sign of the changing times.

Actually, you don't even have to imagine. Snacks and Jacobs both worked out with other players, some of which were in the division.
But I guess it is much easier thinking these guys have a permanent sneer and bounties on fellow athletes.
That's right Fat, I want them to hate the Eagles and Cowgirls as much as I do! Ha! I guess they do work out with them but you don't get the coverage you get on OBJ and Zeke (and now SB) so I never heard about it.....and BTW, I said nothing about bounties.
One things is I hope he doesn't is overtrain. Some bodybuilders have Â
so little range of motion they have to have other people wipe their asses because the are so musclebound.
To that end, I’m glad he’s training with OBJ - there were several videos posted last offseason showing OBJ working on functional movement and explosiveness, not pure weight lifting. I’m sure they’re working with the same trainers as last year who have experience working with pro athletes
Well, given Zeke's character issues, he's not the first guy I'd like to see Saquon hanging out with. But strictly from a football sense, he could do a lot worse.
Before free agency there didn't seem to be as much fraternization among athletes. They seemed to identify first with the organization they played for. Today s NFLPA has changed that, these guys are all in the same business
As a fan I enjoyed knowing that Simms, LT and company hated the Eagles as much as we the fans did.
Before them, Tittle, Gifford, Robestelli etc. ; even during the age of free agency I loved how Tuck and Jacobs hated the Cowboys.
So I understand your point, it s a different era, and fraternization is only one of several changes.
That is his rookieness showing. Training with Elliot ... doesn't he know Elliot is going to show him all BAD habits and what not to do ...disguised as good ones ...?

I hope he brings a sponsor ...
I finally read the article ... Beckham and Shepard will also be there. Phew ... Barkley will be alright.
I did not know that, but I still loved their passion against that team.
Also I m not trying to come across as critical of guys training together, jus making the point that it s different then the NFL Ingrew up with. Then again maybe I m wrong about that too.
you can have disdain for your rival while still maintaining a level of respect towards their abilities and accomplishments.
If you're closing yourself off from learning from what your peers and competitors do to prepare themselves then you're simply not doing everything you can to be the best.
both Tuck and Jacobs had offseason workouts with players in the division - including Cowboys!

Things have changed a long time ago.
Facts or it never happened. Heathens train w the “enemy” Athletes are friends w other team players all the time and hang out and workout together. But none of them ever made the news about it and/or had their own social media where fans and media troll 24/7. The professional ones learn to handle this...professionally. As long as they aren’t hanging on a party boat during the playoffs or something else that is distracting enough to garner negative attention. Wish these guys would watch LeBron James, steph curry, KD etc. they are the unit set divas, always in the media and yet never for the wrong distracting reasons when it’s go time.

You should have disdain for an ewok wife puncher.
Like it or not, Zeke Elliott is currently one of the best RB's in the Â
Working out with players like Elliott and Gurley (who he is also working out with) presents zero downside for Barkley.
Unless you believe that learning tips on how to play and take care of your body from the best players at your position is somehow going to negatively impact his performance.

You're not really wrong, but times have changed. At the very basic level, wanting these guys to dislike each other because of who they're contracted to sign for really only benefits ownership. At the end of the day, these guys are all under the same union, so they should be looking out for one another, and many of them share agents.
I don't like this one bit
;)
Yep. Apparently, the guy is just a writer.
I can't wait to see the insanity the first time someone posts a pic of one of the Kardashians hanging out with this crew on social media.
That's not what I said. I wish they wouldnt work out with division rivals. But again, you see it in all sports

bad idea all-around...
If anything, this is more of a Cowboys problem. 3 Giants, 1 Cowboy.
The RECRUIT IS ON!
bad idea all-around...
Aren't the playbooks all on Ipads now? Now way Zeke would be smart enough to figure out the password.

Doesn't Beckham already wear those?
And is anybody else surprised this hasn't turned into a bash Beckham thread? (he's also joining the 2 for those that didn't read the article)

Tiki put himself through some murderous offseason training routines. Maybe he would return Saquon's call ...

How else would it get spunned?
