Medical or does he just like that look?
Medical or does he just like that look?
Wears them in interviews and post game too so I'm assuming medical.

I figured. Either that or he was channeling his inner Kent Tekulve.

Probably pressing a bit but he also was struggling toward the end in AA. He's stock remains the same but he might yet be a guy who needs another few months of seasoning.
-Kay was reportedly 90-94 on the FB
I mean Josh Hader is an extremely, extremely unique case. He's having an absolutely insane season and simply has better pure stuff than Kay. I think Kay is a SP and could settle in as a Niese type.
T-7 for Woods debut
Bumgarner was not a big strikeout pitcher early in his career. Peterson has shown the ability to miss bats (see 20k game in college), probably just adjusting to new level, plus he's a ground ball machine. Is JA Happ, Alex Wood a better comparison?
I'd be fine with that.
Szapucki probably has the highest upside.
I have no idea who to compare Dunn to. I don't trust him to be anymore than a 3 though. Maybe like a 2016 matt harvey type.

Bumgarner 161 k's at 18 in the SAL at which point was ranked #9 by BA (in all of baseball) #3 by BP. Peterson at 22 59 innings 57 k's. BA doesn't have him top 100 at the moment. Bumgarner had a low krate to begin his career because he was 19 and 20 years old in the bigs. David Peterson at 19 was putting up a 4.39 era at Oregon
2001-2015- 4th in baseball in fWAR trailing Halladay, Sabathia and Oswalt. He was really, really good.
At his best he was a middle of the rotation starter.
I'd take that from any of these guys in the minors now, especially on a team that keeps deGrom and Thor.
Jon Niese
Lol

Trust me the Mets would too. if you told the Mets Peterson and Kay would be healthy Jon Niese they would jump for joy. Add that to what they have and the Mets rotation would be the best in baseball (or close to it). Lineup would still need help but you get the idea.
Kay
Peterson
Crismatt (hard to see him succeeding with that FB but he's thisclose)
Dunn
Humphreys
Szapucki
SWR
James
Harol (again, I don't see it working but so far so good)
Very intrigued by Santos but so so far away
Dibrell has a live arm but command is very suspect
You don’t take someone with Niese upside with that pick last year. I am not saying you aren’t right on upside but rather if you are right that’s another massive indictment of Sandy’s tenure
Why would wheeler take anything close to that??

That isn’t franchise specific. EVERY team would take that. Every single team.
Dunn's stuff has been up and down so tough to really say. In the end I think he ends up in the BP but he probably has similar upsides 3-4 starter best case. 2 pitch mix.
Bases loaded. Line drive single to center. Kelenic charged it and got the runner at third for s force.
Neither Newton or Santana belong in the top 10 discussion right now and I say that as someone VERY intrigued by Newton and believe Santana is being overlooked. Hard to get too excited regarding Viall. ALWAYS injured and yes he's 6'9 but NCAA 98 innings 72 walks, Minors 88.1 innings 58 walks. He's 23 in September at some point you have to throw an ability to throw strikes. John Calvagno did not have Viall in his top... 51 prospects in the SAL

That veteran team just got old over the offseason. Harper would be wise to jump ship.

Best part is the whole group jumps up screaming and high fiving. Nice to see them teaching the little things again.
Kelenic up again next
His swing reminded me of Yelich. That's kind of what I'm hoping for even if he has less power.
I got the same feeling when we drafted him and he certainly hasn't done anything to change my mind in his first few games. He's one of those players who's good at everything.
Max WoahTell
One of the strangest pre pitching moves, where he slid his back foot from the 1st base side of the rubber all the way to the 3rd base side. Then cherry on top was an awkward pitching motion. Thought it could be “fixed”, can’t blame that one on the scouts or the coaches...
That’s Dans things around here, so I’ll defer to him.
But arms are not the problem, tons of them.
Ones of interest are the post injury guys. The obvious Puck, Humphrey’s. Big guy like Hutch, Planck, Cleveland, etc
;)
;)
Cavallaro? Skipping St. Lucie apparently. I wonder if that's temporary. His family seems very supportive on twitter which is cool. Lugo's mom is always tweeting to Mets fans (always nice).
Peterson just can’t command his pitches tonight.
I know our Las Vegas team was old, but I didn’t realize they were that old! :)
Alonso also hit a HR
