I love the guy, he's a true football player. But he's gotten a lot of $$$ lately and he clearly has a music endeavor going off the field. That stuff can eat into your interest pretty quick
"With regret and sadness I wish to inform the fans, and the public a good friend of mine Roosevelt Rene a.k.a. Trypps Beats was found dead at my place of residence," Jenkins said in a statement posted on his personal Instagram page. "Trypps was a good friend and we were collaborating on music production together. It truly hearts my heart to know he has passed away. At the time of the incident I was in Florida preparing to finish off my promotional tour. As this is an ongoing incident, I cannot answer any questions related to the investigation. I am praying for Roosevelt and his family."

I don't even think he's 29 years old. It'd be odd even for the NFL to be thinking about changing careers.

Has it shown it's a distraction at all yet? The only reason we really know about this "side career" is because of this incident. I'm not worried about it, he brings it on the field.
The guy has a profession that gives him a significant amount of time Â
to explore other passions outside of staying in shape. Out of control you guys think that someone making music as a side passion is a strange move.
Do those who feel this way really think these guys are hitting sleds and doing tip drills with their friends throughout the rest of the year when they're not at the facility?

Right, he'd just be the latest in that long line of elite athletes to give up the game for a lucrative career in music...
He's had off-field baggage his whole career going back to college & high school. He hasn't let it stop him from becoming an elite, highly paid NFL player.
I think it's fair to wonder if his brother allegedly killing his close friend and business partner at his own house is going to affect him, if at all. I never said it would or I expect it will. Just curious to see what kind of year we get from him. He's also coming off injury and earned almost $30M the last 2 years.
From the Giants (business) perspective - and again I'm not saying it would ever come to this, or that I want it to (he's one of my favorite players on the team) - 2018 was the first "out year" in his contract and he has a huge base salary these next 3 years. They could cut him for a cap savings if they don't like what's going on or don't want to pay a 30 year old CB $11M per. That question will come into play next offseason if he "survives" this situation, which seems likely.
There is a presumption of innocence in this country and a crime must be proven in a Court of Law "BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT" ..the police may have probable cause to suspect his Brother..but that is NOT PROOF his brother killed the victim as someone on this board stated .... do not believe everything you read in a newspaper, on line or on TV.... reporters SELL you news but they do not always report truth. That being said, it must be a difficult time for Jenkins. I pray that he can stay focused on his job through this ordeal.

We aren’t the jury, not sure if you knew that or not...

I think this line covers his brother
As this is an ongoing incident, I cannot answer any questions related to the investigation.

The debate will be if he killed him intentionally to murder him or if it was manslaughter.
