Of course, the flip side of this is, summer is coming to an end....
As I get older, it seems that the seasons are flying by...
It doesn't seem that long ago, that the Giants were about to start the 2017 season, and we all were hoping that OBj was ready....all the way up to game time....
And now, in 5 weeks, we go through it all again....the expectations last season, were maybe, unrealistically high....but after 4 straight seasons of losing football, what Giant fan didn't think we had finally turned the corner after going 11-5, and making the playoffs for the first time in 5 years.......but no Giant team sunk as fast as they did, except for maybe the '64 Giants....
Hope springs eternal for BBI every year......for me, I want to see something to build on, not another one year wunderkind....
Maybe this will be our year once again!
The 64 Giants were full of Giant legends who got old, they were classy warriors and had nothing in common with the 17 Giants other than a poor record
So the high-water mark was the 2nd play from scrimmage...
Exactly, besides wishing your time on earth away... I can wait and enjoy the summer
Even seems moreso now since summer is my busy season at work (special ed. attorney, so ramping up to the start of school years in July/September is the mad season).
As for the G-Men -- I remain a complete optimist. I'm totally unrealistic with my fandom and generally really always see what bright side there is. So I'm fired up to see Saquon and think the passing attack will really open up with his addition as well as obvious improvement for the ground game.
Also, the NFL is the one league that seems to have annual outhouse-to-penthouse stories, so why not us??
getting used to new staff, players, and so forth is a major factor.
I wasn’t referring to people here but thanks.
I am not sure it is "fixed" fixed but signing Solder (and moving Flowers to a different position) and drafting Hernandez were 2 great moves in the right direction. May need 1 more draft ..... may? We shall see. No way we lose 13 games in 2018.
Let's hope it's not too late. At 37, it may be too late for Eli.

That if the Giants could fix the offensive line they could return to greatness. I think they might have finally fixed it.

I think Omeme was another big move and a sure upgrade over Jerry. I also was pretty pleased with Jones(he’s probably average-ish) and if Halapio is outplaying him that bodes well for C too. Most lines aren’t perfect with 5 pro bowlers but I think we’ve made massive strides in one year. Just give me a middle of the pack offensive line for Eli and I’ll do cartwheels.

I think the arm strength is still there and of course he’s still got it between the ears. I do worry about a big hit that could finally knock him out though. We all know what happened to his brother.

Not so much this year. I think DG's philosophy leads to a team that wins 10 games every year not a team that wins championships.
What kind of philosophy results in a winning team, but not a Championship team?
Are there even examples of teams that win 10 games a year but can't win it all?
Saints eventually got a SB. Colts too.
For years, the biggest complaint was that we aren't consistent enough. Now, we are complaining that the GM will give us a team that wins 10 games a year - and it is a criticism!!!
What the fuck?

How many games do you think we will win?
