But not in today’s line up, Gardner in there against the lefty Happ who I would like the Yankees to get. BTW Hale was DFA
Here is the line up
New York Yankees
Record: 56-29
LFBrett Gardner (L)
RFAaron Judge (R)
DHG. Stanton (R)
CFAaron Hicks (S)
3BMiguel Andujar (R)
SSDidi Gregorius (L)
2BBrandon Drury (R)
CKyle Higashioka (R)
1BGreg Bird (L)
he has a 4.03 era with 110 k's. That's is good not great. He is not worth giving up any of our top prospects for. He is a URFA next season.

I'd agree with that except he's done well vs the Sox. I don't want to give up a lot for him either but we still have a decent amount of games left vs the Sox and he could be a difference maker.
Would have to imagine Sheffield will be in line for a start soon. Or maybe Hale as he pitched well least night

I’d give up a good prospect for happ but like you said not an elite one. Happ is kind of perfect for the yanks — he’s a lefty and maybe a bit underrated. Won’t have to liquify the farm but he should represent an upgrade over the likes of gray or German or someone not named severino,CC or hopefully Tanaka. He would slide right into the 4th spot. Lefty in Yankee stadium... sign me up.

Same here. Then I'd go after Hamels if they can't get Happ but I want no part of Fulmer or Harvey.
I'd also see what it would take for Hand from SD while I'm at it. Even though I know he'd be costly.
We have to winder whether this is a "conveninently timed" injury- the Yanks need to limit Loaisiga's innings, and this allows them to shut him down for a few weeks and help keep him near the cap.

"shoulder inflammation" according to Bryan Hoch. He'll see another doctor on Monday.

No. Yanks can do whatever they want with him down in minors. Rest him without DL'able injury. You dont give someone a MRI, and lessen his trade value with a fake injury. Stupid theory.
SELLERS looking for 'groceries' at the Yankees Farm(pun intended).
Haha. Here I am saying how I didn't like what I was seeing from Gardy vs lefties and he leads off the game going yard vs one!
Maybe seeing Frazier get called up did have something to do with it. Kinda like Bird last week when they called Drury up.
Hale's been in the league since 2013, so he's out of options and has to pass through waivers before going to the minors.
I don't think this is what is going to happen.
I think Tanaka pitches one of the games- but I think with Loiasiga going down, there is a good chance that the Yanks might start Sheffield.
Sheffield is the scheduled starter tomorrow for AAA. It would not be a big deal to bump his start back one day. Remember that the Yanks just opened a 40 man roster spot by DFAing Hale. That can easily go to Sheffield.
Tip your cap to him. He’s on a mission to help out his future team. Kudos to him for his forward thinking

Lol. That would explain all the walks and his helping Stanton on that infield grounder...
What’s the rush? Longer you wait the less you might have to give.
I would think that the ump has a problem if both sides have people tossed arguing balls and strikes. This is the shit that MLB needs to discipline umpires for.
Yeah, not to sharp today. Hope he can get through 5...

It would be nice if they’d hurry this up. Like, within the next half hour? Unless of course he already knows he has a good chance to end up in NY and goes out there and does us a solid today...

It went over your head apparently

Cessa will now make the other start on Monday in double header. He will be the extra player for the double header and then go right back down to minors. DFA'ing Hale was a no brainer since he wouldn't be available for 4-5 days. Already carrying an extra pitcher so a position player was the move. Not to mention def needed Frazier with the two lefties pitching this weekend and a double header on Monday. Tanaka back on Tuesday.

Wrong Rich. Tanaka is pitching TU. CC is pitching one of the DH games. Cessa will be pitching the other. They're not going to commit a 40 man spot to Sheffield yet, unless he is really needed. And a one-time spot start for a DH is not that.
