A few months ago our cruise ship stopped there for a day. Of the 5 or 6 islands we went to, Grenada was the most intriguing.
We took a van into the rain forest and hiked to a waterfall for a refreshing swim. The island is incredibly beautiful and the variety of produce that is grown there is unbelievable. Cocoa, nutmeg, cinnamon, banana, etc., all grown within steps of each other.
We docked in St George's and walked around the town for a bit. Very high paced, bustling little town.
My wife and I have been to many islands (first time being on a cruise, though) and we definitely want to return.
Words of advice if you run into trouble in Grenada.
