This is a subject not too many guys would converse about freely. But, eh, I'll give it a shot. I've had a culmination of symptoms that resulted in me seeing my doctor recently. Among the symptoms have been extreme fatigue/exhaustion, trouble concentrating & difficulty losing weight.
I was actually pretty surprised at the results of my blood work. My testosterone (both total and free) are extremely low for a guy my age (one year away from the big five-oh).
I haven't talked to my doctor about the results yet. Before I push for replacement therapy or openly discuss it with my doctor, any guys here going through this brave enough to discuss their results with TRT or how they proceeded after testing?
I've been doing HRT for several years and every day apply a testosterone gel (AndroGel)to my upper arms. My levels are normal while using it but anything I say about improvements (fatigue, mood, libido, etc) could equally be psychological rather than physical. I swear, it helps my beer belly though.
If you start it, make sure they increase the frequency of your PSA testing though (I'm sure your doc will do that) because it can stimulate any nascent prostate cancer cells. My PSA showed are rapid rise a year or so after therapy (again, could be coincidental) and I eventually had to my prostate removed. Not saying that this will happen, but something to watch for. And....I'm no MD.

Bill, thanks for that. Can you tell me how exercise results were before and after and muscle tone? I don't lift, just regular exercise. I've gotten a bit flabby over the past 2-3 years and diet and exercise haven't affected it.
Kick a man while he's down!
Actually, yes. Last year. It was neg.

Or you could just set some money on fire.
Joe Rogan: taking TRT for 10 years - ( New Window )
lift 3 days a week. Never do reps over 5. Low rep, heaving weight helps T count
When I do aerobic 2x a week, it's always HITT
I do Intermittent fasting always
When lifting, try to do it in a fasted state increases T count and HGH levels significantly
Take lot of zinc
Take lots of grape seed extract
Good luck!
