since he is a free agent, and you can't get a draft pick if a guy leaves after you trade at the deadline anymore, the offers for Machado probably arent anywhere near what we think they should be.

If teams believe he's going to sign with Yankees or elsewhere, they probably arent willing to let go of top prospects for only 3 months of a player.

Frazier is a very good prospect, too. German's era doesn't look good but his swing and miss % and the stuff that he has you can see why another team would like him a lot

If we land Machado, who has said over and over he's a SS, then we still need 1-2 SP and to move Didi in a trade.

if he gets traded to the Yankees his only place to play is 3B. His tune will change quickly
