Jenkins and Collins are the only players I am confident about right now. Apple, Beal, Haley, Gay, Adams, Thompson, and Riley all have question marks of one kind or another. But that's life in the NFL.
Can be a good influence on both Jenkins and Apple, but mostly Apple. From everything we have seen and heard this offseason, Apple seems to have grown up and has a good head on his shoulders now. He never seemed to be a bad guy, but just very immature.
Hoping last season was a humbling experience for the guy and he can get his career turned around with the assistance and guidance of Gay.
seem like they’re going back to the more old school approach of building front to back, inside out. No surprise given DG’s old school roots and desire to return Giants football.
that they cut DRC. Dont care what the savings were. They could have found a way to keep him on board and not disrupt their free agency plans.
Well, the counter-argument is he was the first of the CBs to start the revolt and end up with a suspension. Moreover, there was a shocking drop in his productivity. He went from 21 pass defenses in 2017 to just one in 2017.

Was he? Jenkins should have been suspended for his effort in the Rams game. I dont recall DRC dogging it on the field. If we are talking about cutting guys based solely on statistics a lot of players should have been cut.
You dont get better by cutting players without viable replacements. With a 1 yr deal he should still be here.
Has taken the problems and suspension to overcast the simple fact that these guys all underperformed. Apple has the best tools of any DB on this team can he just forget last year and enjoy playing football once again. Jenkins will be tested both on the field and off CB’s with lower leg injuries at his age and salary become history very quickly. The home situation will also provide a test most people never want to experience in life. I don’t really know enough about the other CB’s on the team but so far they have performed in shorts we are told.
Collins the center of the backfield made some tackles but his coverage skills were terribly lacking not sure he can ever fix that. The idea he can play all areas of the backfield is a myth going forward he is good being asked to cover deep is a red flag for this defense. Now the injury bug has hit during his show me the money year is he better at SS or FS? The other safety guys could make the team or be gone but once again looked good in shorts. This is a team hoping and praying way to many average players perform well above average Vegas does not buy it, they are a long shot in just to many important team areas.
Like many on BBI, I think the Giants will be looking at the waiver wire cuts for veterans this summer.
CB, OT, OC, LB.
I mean, would any of us be shocked if a cut made the team the last week of camp, played in game 4 of pre-season a bit, and was name at starter at nickel CB? Or LB? Especially if the cut guy knows Shurmur, Bettcher system.
Free Safety is weak and not much depth at CB not sure how
much we can expect out of Beal . I think Apple will have
a good year he has the tools and good people around him .
You can bet he will be targeted earl and often .

Minor type / missing word:
Carnage at the LOS.
Hard to tell because Thompson didn't practice during last mini-camp. Riley was with the first team with Andrews.
Should be "dire straits" not straights...
Maybe, but I don't think the Giants are real confident about him as yet. Grabbing Sam Beal maybe an indication of that.

No question. However it turns up the heat a bit knowing the guy that can push you down or off the roster is already on the team. Just saying.
I know one was walking off the sidelines when McAdoo et al would not put him in when Wade was getting torched.

And that they will be every bit as serviceable as a Russ Cockrell-type if not better.
so we should be fine...
