Oh, he is. But there is something just annoying about him. Something unlikeable.

I wasn't implying that he wasn't a good player. I was saying he's fucking annoying as shit because they never get him out during the regular season.

Somehow they locked him completely down during the playoffs.

He was trash in the playoffs after talking a whole lot of Twitter bullshit. It was glorious.

Yeah, it's frustrating. He's one of two guys in this lineup who can really beat you. Not that Sevy shouldn't challenge him - but he's the guy in this lineup you just have to be super careful with.
Big hit by Andujar

To get Romine out of the way this inning, at a minimum.
Romine is the only
section125 : 7/12/2018 8:59 pm : link
one unable to hit Kluber...
Romine just overmatched tonight.
Del Shofner : 7/12/2018 8:59 pm : link
I like Romine but we need our first string catcher back.
This should hopefully
Kyle in NY : 7/12/2018 9:01 pm : link
put to rest any ideas about Romine as the starting catcher. He’s being exposed, we need Sanchez ASAP
I know a lot of people get annoyed when I speak of Sawx luck
Greg from LI : 7/12/2018 9:02 pm : link
But take that last inning - they had an overturned call in their favor, a few dribblers, and Justin Smoak missing a catchable pop foul from Betts just before the homer. Meanwhile we have Walker smoking a ball right at Alonzo for an unassisted DP with bases loaded and one out.

ever play good teams? Every time you look up, they are playing the blue jays, orioles, or royals
Happ gave up the grandslam to Betts

This one game? What about the Oriole game the other night with all the RBIs and extra base hits.

99.9% of the board never said anything about Romine as starter when Sanchez is on the team.

He must really like Toronto because his last 3 starts (since trade spec) have been abominable.

Yay, more Neil Walker.
easy ground ball to Walker

turns it into a two base error.

tick tock
Walker
MookGiants : 7/12/2018 9:05 pm : link
needs to go. Why they continue to run him out there is beyond me.
Oh fuck you Walker
bigbluehoya : 7/12/2018 9:05 pm : link
I get that he isn’t thissss bad of player but I am so fucking sick of it.
Why is he in the OF

Yeah it's frustrating. Haven't played Cleveland yet, and they have another series with Houston. They rarely lose to shitty teams, and we do - that's the difference so far.

Because he hit well for 3.5 weeks before Bird was called up. They're probably hoping he can recapture it. I'm over it... he needs to go. He's probably not completely washed up yet, but he's clearly not used to being a bench player.
I don't know how he missed that pitch.

He had 6 XBH's in May and hit .294, big freaking deal. They are hurting the team by keeping him on the roster. In April, June, and July he has been one of the worst players in the entire sport
Cashman appears to continue to be very cautious
RasputinPrime : 7/12/2018 9:13 pm : link
which is the only explanation for keeping Walker on this 25 man squad. I get it but subject to health concerns or pending transactions I don't know about, i'm not sure we aren't better off with Toe.
Roster optimization has been one of the few weaknesses for the
shockeyisthebest8056 : 7/12/2018 9:14 pm : link
organization this year.
Wade
MookGiants : 7/12/2018 9:15 pm : link
even hitting .157 would still be better than Walker
Terrible AB.
shockeyisthebest8056 : 7/12/2018 9:15 pm : link
Tyler Wade really should've played.
Walker
MookGiants : 7/12/2018 9:16 pm : link
went up there and didn't come even close to hitting one of those pitches.

He can't play on this team. I dont know if its not playing every day or if he's just shot, but it's clear to everyone except cashman and boone apparently.

Drury should be playing 2nd base every day until Torres is back.

Without disagreeing, you have to admit that the strike three pitch by Kluber was a helluva pitch.
