NFT: What type of aluminum ladder is this?

Gross Blau Oberst : 7/13/2018 5:13 pm
Anyone in BBI land know anything about aluminum extensions ladders?

I have an older model that needs a replacement set of rung locks. See the picture below. The current lock springs are worn and one of the locks is missing the flapper. Without the flapper, i can't retract the ladder. Annoying.

Trouble is that i can't determine the manufacturer (no visible markings on the ladder and all of the stickers are long gone).

Is this a Louisville or a Werner ladder? Until I know, i can't get the replacement rung locks.

Also, as this is an older model, will the new style replacement rung locks work on this ladder?

Thanks in advance..............

I would rather pay $30 for a replacement set of rung locks, than more than $100 for a new ladder.

But what do you think the chances of success are posting this on a football board on a July Friday?
you are much better off posting this on one of the many home improvement / contractor boards. A seasoned pro could id that instantly.

I’d buy both parts. One at a time. Return the one that didn’t work. It’s much easier than lugging a new ladder from the store as well. Some of those things are massive unless you got a ladder rig on the truck.
no way to tell

And you are talking 30 vs 100 bucks. Get the new ladder and the piece of mind that comes from that when you are 15 feet of the ground.
To heaven??

It reminds me of an old Sears circa 1970

My inelegant solution was to put it on the ground horizontally and let gravity pull the hooks out of the sliding plane. And a little WD40.

And some 3 in 1 oil and some gauze pads.

Preferably Prestone. No...make that Quaker State. And wash those windows, there’s filth muck on them
