Some of you have seen that Im trying to make a career transition back to something that's B2B in nature. I have been in restaurants for a while because that was a career I thought I wanted until I experienced the culture and the low ceiling that came with it. I had been in sales prior to that and was moving up the ladder fairly briskly until my company got acquired by a larger subsidiary and my office was dissolved.
I am curious if I am listing my experience correctly in order to attract the best attention. I have my restaurant experience pretty much listed without much detail...just dates to show no significant gap in employment history but am curious if this is the right approach. Nobody in my circle has really had to do this type of shift and I wanted to know what those who hire think when they see my resume.
My email is in my profile. If you dont mind taking a look and giving me feedback, please give your handle when you email me and I will shoot you a PDF.
Thanks in advance.
Ehhhhhh, he and I....did not get along to say the least. Lol.

I’d hire you based on that alone.

Guy was a total jerk off. If he were still here, he'd respond to my saying that with something like "at least I dont wait tables for a living" or " go get me some bread." He's literally the only BBIer I could see myself going after during a night at the bar.
Interesting Gordo. The only thing is that it would provide a ten year employment gap.
There were some specific careers/industries that seemed more ok with or even preferred leaving a gap on unrelated jobs, but that was the exception. Things may have changed though.
Also, the resume review mentioned above may be worth considering. The return on that investment need not be very large to be worth it. Best of luck!
