So looking to lease a car but getting tired of the hassle. Anyone use Costco's Auto program to get into a lease? just wondering how it works for leases.
But I’m pretty sure they work the same as Truecar. They have pre-negotiated prices on cars. You pick the model, they give you that price.
They don’t negotiate lease terms. If you want to lease, the prenegotated price is the capital value of the car that will be financed. It’s up to you to negotiate the lease specifics: term, down payment, miles, money factor (interest rate), etc.
worked like a charm. No negotiation, right up front with their best offer, which was the best I managed to get after working a number of different options. Would definitely recommend someone try it, although I'm sure it'll vary based on dealer.
my Mazda6 this way. Great experience. I'm not sure they do lease though.
No, they definitely do leases. Keep in mind that the terms of a lease are more complicated, so there may be some other areas that aren't quite as neat as a purchase.
In my case, I got the negotiated price of the car up front, then I mentioned I needed to lease the vehicle. Then they went through the various options (mileage/term and extras like insurance). In either case though, the starting point was the pre-negotiated purchase price.
The cost was roughly $1k cheaper than Truecar considered a 'good' value for my location.

The only downside with BJ's was they had specific dealerships I had to work with.
For me it was Acura of Newport, RI which was an hour away, still worth it to get the hassle free price and experience.
I walked in and signed paperwork and I got a great price. What's not to like?
assuming BJ's process and Costco are the same.
