First off, how deep do you dig??? Lol
No personal opinion, havent seen him much. But he is a name several do like, expect to move fairly quickly. Part of a huge group of young kids who in a year could be someone youre watching. I know everyone thinks Im nuts, but ;)

Jaison Vilera non-prospect? Dominating numbers with ZERO mention of stuff anywhere including the better Mets guys I'm assuming... soft-tosser with good command?

Thanks Shecky:)
RHP Jaison Vilera (NY-Penn League Brooklyn C New York Mets) 21 years old
7 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 9 K, 1.37 ERA, Win 2-1
Vilera had his best outing of his pro career last night against Aberdeen (Orioles). The 60 188 lb righthander matched his career-high with seven innings and set a new high with 9 strikeouts. The Venezuelan should be a fast mover through the Mets system. After spending one season in the DSL, Vilera came state-side and led the GCL in most pitching categories. My system took note, as he was my Mets choice for the 2018 One to Watch. I would predict that Vilera would crack the Baseball Americas Top 25 next Spring and should find an assignment at LoA Columbia in 2019.

Zero chance hes ever top 25 overall. Small chance he cracks METS 25 lol

Yoenis Cespedes is starting at first base in a minor league rehab game today. Mickey Callaway said pretty explicitly last week that that would not happen. When asked at the time about using Cespedes at first, Callaway said: "He's our left fielder."
Hard to be too critical given the level of pitching but 29th rounder Nelson Mompierre has now allowed 5 PB's over 8 games #Mets
18 year old Angel Macuare strikes out 1B Yoenis Cespedes swinging #Mets
Why? I don't know any reason they'd want to do that, so it's why I said if you didn't know any better, but hard to explain some other reason for the # of times he's said something that looked like he has no idea what the FO has planned.

Mets now have three Top 100 prospects according to Baseball America:
Andres Gimenez #68
Peter Alonso #77
Jarred Kelenic #81 (new to list)
with a strong finish Mauricio maybe gets added to next year's list?

Possible but GCL it's going to be tough given the power/speed numbers won't jump off the page 2 homers, 1 steal. That's not a knock, just only so many spots on a 100 player list.
Not sure if Machado return is directly indicative of a deGrom return. though, not saying it's not an indicator at all, just not direct.
