WFAN was run like a frat house, with drinking by employees starting as early as 10 a.m. and executives condoning buying prostitutes for ad clients, according to a shocking lawsuit filed Wednesday by a 40-year-old former CBS Radio ad exec. Lauren Lockwood, who worked at WFAN from 2006 until last July, claims the station’s executives tolerated a hostile work environment that subjected her to sexual harassment. On various occasions, WFAN host Joe Benigno pressured her into having a threesome, the lawsuit, filed in Brooklyn state court, claims. Benigno “whispered in [Lockwood’s] ear about having ‘threesomes’ with him and his wife and prostitutes,” the suit claims. |
Then the lawsuit should be dismissed as defective, that there's a foursome.

Her eyes? Even if she wasn't wearing dark sunglasses and you could see her eyes, do you think her eyes would offer anything relevant?

He definitely has a bright future there. Da Pope loves him, too.
His voice is so annoying
False.
Pretty sure that video is years old. I believe the woman in it is a former traffic reporter. Her name escapes me but, it’s not the accuser. She was there in the early Boomer and Carton days. Left for a more lucrative position somewhere else.
I’m a big fan of his. I listen to him on my way to work every morning. Also a Syracuse grad and likes all the teams I do.

And how do we even know the woman dancing with him in that video is the woman in this story?

Yeah that video is an old one and I think you're right. I'm pretty sure that's Tracy Burgess who left the FAN around 2011-2012.
Free Anthony's Coal-Fired Pizza?
Are you suggesting Denny is steering us wrong? That's unpossible.

Agreed
What Joe is is a typical New York Sports fan, with the deep accent and all... I think that is his appeal.
Other than Giants season you couldnt pay me to listen

Can't be any more annoying than the schmoozer.

I do not even listen during the Giants' season.
By the way Benigno is an illiterate fool. Sounds like a NY bum won a contest and knew nothing about sports when he got the job.
Hmmmm maybe that is how it happened?
Would you put in the effort to watch a lot of Jets games?
I can totally see Benigno having 3somes with his wife and hookers tho
You are a defective human being.

Yes, Tracy Burgess. Thank you! It was bugging the hell out of me.

You're a Dolphins fan?
How is it possible that a station I don't listen to is still on the air?
Why are TV shows that I don't watch still broadcast?
Why do publishers print books that I'm not going to read?
It absolutely blows my mind!!!
It sounds like Beningo blackmailed himself...?
with IQ hovering subzero
Sad day. He will be replaced though in time.

Lmao. Somehow, you’ll get through this

Larkin said in the memo that the lawsuit “also includes troubling allegations that were not raised during Lockwood’s employment, but were made through this lawsuit seeking millions in compensatory damages.”
Obviously, I have no clue what's going on, but her story already sounds sketchy to start.
I've never come close to witnessing a "physical altercation" in the work place...

So because you haven't witnessed something it probably couldn't have happened to her?
With these kinds of things who really knows the truth but those involved but I don't see any reason to dismiss her claims because I haven't personally experienced the same things.
In a luxury suite at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, a brawl broke out between a former male ad exec Lockwood brought as a guest and two current CBS Radio employees over the relative talents of the boxers, the suit claims.
As Lockwood moved to break up the fight, she was punched in the face, according to the suit.
The next day, Lockwood was the only employee to be suspended, it is alleged. Her boss, ad sales exec Sean Argaman, would later fire her, court papers claims.

No, I'm stating that 'physical altercations' aren't common in the workplace. (I'm taking this to mean "fighting", btw)
Which leads me to believe this is more sour grapes than anything else.
Employed for 10 years, fired for "fighting", never once complained about sexual harassment while employed; is now suing for sexual harassment over a year later.
It just smells funky to me given the current details.

I do agree in that these things are often funky all the way around with all parties involved.

Except the story is that the physical altercation didn’t really happen in a typical workplace environment. It was in a luxury box at the Barclays where her date and some guys from WFAN got into a fight. The aftermath was she was the only one terminated.
She may be lying, she may not. But as we’ve seen recently, just because sexual harassment was never reported doesnt meant it didn’t happen. And the biggest reason it’s ignored or tolerated is fear of losing a paycheck or worse. If the frat house environment story at WFAN is to be believed, its not hard to imagine why she didn’t speak up until recently.
We shall see.
