11 teams!
Chargers are a bold prediction
bluepepper : 7/19/2018 3:46 pm : link

It’s a sham how bad that division is year to year
Browns!

5 wins!?
Obviously it is very balanced league.
TMS : 7/19/2018 4:30 pm : link
Injuries and depth will make the difference as usual.
If all outcomes occur, as predicted, here's some NFL coaching jobs
Tom in NY : 7/19/2018 4:46 pm : link
available for 2019:

Jets
Tampa
Cincinnati
Cleveland
Washington
....and maybe Miami as a surprise!

Considering the NFC East plays the AFC South
fanatic II : 7/19/2018 4:48 pm : link
They predict the AFC South(three double digit win teams) is going to crush the NFC East.

I highly doubt this will happen.

The big changers:
Pete in MD : 7/19/2018 5:07 pm : link
-Buffalo goes from 9-7 to 3-13
-Houston from 4-12 to 11-5
Man, if we end up one of 11 teams...
Dan in the Springs : 7/19/2018 5:18 pm : link
To go 7-9, we better win the coin toss for first round draft pick. The difference between 8 and 19 is tremendous.

This is the rubric. Healthiest team in December/January combined with positional depth.

Here's a piece of trivia I'd like to know
BlackLight : 7/19/2018 7:10 pm : link
How long has it been since we had an offseason where no head coaches were replaced?
Seahawks with 4 wins is the biggest surprise
ZogZerg : 7/19/2018 7:22 pm : link
for me.
9 of 12 playoff teams from last year
WillVAB : 7/19/2018 10:50 pm : link
Doubt it. There’s going to be more fresh faces in the playoffs.
7-9
joeinpa : 7/20/2018 8:56 am : link
Would be a pretty disappointing season considering the commitment made to making another run with Eli.

I d rather a commitment to a rebuild, similar to Eli s first season when they only won 6 games.

At least those game were exciting and mattered because of what they were moving towards.

I’m guessing your point is that since they didn’t draft a QB with the 2nd pick, everyone on the team will be retiring when Eli does and there is no future?
Amazing that no one in the league goes 8-8
WillieYoung : 7/20/2018 10:39 am : link
Has that ever happened.
I think the Giants are one of the hardest teams to project.
Reb8thVA : 7/20/2018 11:58 am : link
I think you can make compelling arguments that they could go 10-6 or 6-10. Maybe you can say that about every team. Maybe not. I just think that there are so many X factors with this team and I guess ha is why I’m really excited about this year
Pats have won 14 of the last 15 AFC East Titles
Knee of Theismann : 7/20/2018 12:29 pm : link
The only one they lost is the year Brady tore his ACL in the pre-season and they still went 11-5 and somehow missed the playoffs.

Their perpetual dominance is unmatched in the history of football, NFL or College.

So what!
The division is beyond putrid. The AFC East should be : NE, NYJ, Baltimore, Buffalo
Give the pats some competition
Almost unanimous
Giantslifer : 7/20/2018 2:23 pm : link
dallas doesn't make playoffs.
No Super Bowl for the most overrated team/fans . AGAIN
I don't see anyway that prediction plays out
JOrthman : 7/20/2018 10:36 pm : link
Some of you are talking like they brought that back from the future.

Is it? Their division is decent and their roster has collapsed. 4-12 is a safe prediction.

All of those teams aren't going 7-9. I don't even think the Giants will go 7-9. The NFC is just too good. I think this is a 5-6 win team.
link? maybe?
micky : 7/21/2018 9:27 am : link
.
Aside from Seattle
LakeGeorgeGiant : 7/21/2018 10:17 am : link
they've essentially predicted that the good teams from last year will be good, and the not so good teams will be not so good.

Not many of these predictions are more than a 2 or 3 game swing from last year.

I can't believe people get paid for this shit.
I would ignore the W-L
AnnapolisMike : 7/21/2018 10:24 am : link
But the ranking of place in each division is not that strange. Past performance being the best indicator of future performance the rankings are reasonable. What is unknown is how injuries, coaching changes and luck will affect how things shake out.

7-9 is a reasonable prediction for the Giants, and unless the Giants are remarkably lucky on the injury front, likely within a game or two of what they will end up at.
It is one..
FatMan in Charlotte : 7/21/2018 5:54 pm : link
of the few predictions that actually balance the W's with the L's. A pet peeve are predictions where the W-L do not match
Overall, seems like a reasonable set of predictions
Jimmy Googs : 7/21/2018 7:08 pm : link
Although how NFL teams fortunes actually play out is anything but reasonable as we know...
