He's the story. A fourth major at age 24 and you have to think he's a ten major guy. Forget rankings he's the best golfer in the world.
If he ever gets his putting back to where it was a couple years ago he’s got the type of game that will never really break down. Excellent mechanics, doesn’t overextend himself, and shouldn’t have major health issues due to playing style. He will never be the longest but he’s so good it likely won’t matter long term.
Spieth isnt Rory long but he can move it out there too Â
Tough to see Tiger passing all three guys that are 9-under. Have to imagine one of those 3 goes low enough to pull away with the win.
Good tourney though. Love those last 3 finishing holes that are going to give folks fits if the wind picks up and the pressure kick in. You better have a 2 stroke lead on the last hole otherwise its probably a playoff.
Johnny miller was commenting that in the nasty high grass rough it is critical to hold the face square through the hitting zone as the club passes through the high grass, it wants to twist, and with spieth’s elbow being in the flying position it really helps him in this thru the cross hatched high grass.....his swing seems to match British open conditions......!
I think so. To have that many surgeries and having the fall from grace he did pretty much had the entire world writing him off on ever being good again. Not sure what could possibly be bigger.
