Keeper question:
12 team league
non-ppr
I draft middle of the pack in a snake draft
Here are the players I'm choosing between with the pick I would give up and their current ADP:
Jordan Howard - 8th round - 2.03 ADP
Josh Gordon - 16th round - 4.07 ADP
Odell - 3rd round - 2.01 ADP
I'm really torn on this one. Josh Gordon is obviously a crazy flyer, but if he hits and all I have to give up is a 16th, that's huge. Odell could be a top fantasy player this year and to give up a third is good but obviously it is a smaller variance between the pick and ADP.
Jordan Howard is a guy I have had on my team for years now, it seems like.
My draft plan would be to grab the best available RB with the first pick.
Appreciate the advice.
Howard would be nice for just an 8th rounder but wouldn't be the difference maker on your roster as Odell would be.
It is only a single keeper, so Odell makes the most sense.
I was actually incorrect - I would be giving up the 2nd pick (forgot we halve the previous draft round). So if I keep Odell, I would give up the 2nd round pick.
Still worth it?

Does that also change Howard's round?
We can't keep any one who was a keeper the previous year, nor any 1st-3rd round picks. All others are the round you picked them in.
Choices are: Ertz: 7th
Marlon Mack: 14th
Evan Engram: 14th
I am leaning Engram for the value and because he may be the only Giant I get on my team. I pick 5th in a snake draft.

If you halve the previous draft round (guessing you round down on odd rounds) and your options are to either keep Odell for a 2nd round pick (previously was 3rd but halved and rounded down become a second round pick) or Howard for a 4th round pick (previously was 8th but halved makes it a 4th rounder.
If I got that part correct, was real confusing from both your posts above. Than Yes, I would still keep Odell for the 2nd round pick.
Howard is still for an 8th.

I don't think there will be a 7 rd difference in production between Ertz & Engram. Plus, FF is about having fun and if you want to make sure you have a Giant on your team, definitely keep Engram
Howard is still for an 8th.
Much closer, so I'd go which ever way you want there. I love OBJ, but having Howard + Adams or Allen or Green might be a little better than having OBJ + Crowell or Jamal Williams
I'm really high on him and also have the option to keep at a 10th round cost. My only hesitation is his weapons. Who's he throwing to? I love Shanahan's offense but just don't see alot of playmakers.
Kenyan Drake-10th round
Jimmy Garrapolo- 10th round
I get 2 keepers and can keep them for 3 years with the cost increasing each year. Passing TDs are 6pts which makes QBs a premium.
Thoughts?

Do you have to keep 2? What if you keep both Drake and Garrapolo this year, do you lose a 9th and a 10th?

Don't have to keep 2 but makes sense to. Yes I would have to use a 9th or try to trade for another 10th. League allows picks to be traded.

Well, I'd keep Drake for sure. Then it depends on how you feel about Ajayi. I'm lower on him than most so I'd probably lean Jimmy. I suspect most people would go Ajayi though.
Howard in the 8th when RBs are gonna fly off the board is the mmuch better value.
He was so boom-or-bust last year, and I don't like those kinds of players, because you can never guess right all the time. Hunt, Kelce, and Watkins will get a lot of touches in that offense, and we don't even know yet what Mahomes can do at QB.
I'm leaning toward not keeping him, but Rotoworld says he has "massive WR1 upside." I know his skill set is sick, but fantasy football is about consistent yardage and TD production. I just don't know if that will happen with him.
